There’s 4 teams in the first 7 picks that need a QB and from what I’ve seen probably only one QB who might be worthy of a first round grade. Yikes. Vikes are gonna have to pay up some money to keep Darnold. They need to shop McCarthy for picks.
They will pay big money to Darnold. Shop JJ. Been awhile since I've seen SF and Dallas picking that high.
They have Daniel Jones on their practice squad now. Surely they wouldn’t let Darnold walk if he demands too much to use McCarthy and Jones? It would probably save them 20 million next year. I’m beginning to believe McConnell can fix any QB. Jones has a similar physical skill set to Darnold and similar early years results.

Lots of pressure and the Lion DBs are getting away with holding. Jones got drilled 3 yards out of bounds with no flag at the 2.
Twice Darnold has been way too careful on 4th down throws into the end zone. It’s 4th down, so a pick is not much different than an incomplete pass. Give your receiver a chance.
Darnold is not entirely ‘fixed’. He has some kind of mental glitch. I don’t trust him.
He looks pretty tight. He had Jefferson open against a zero blitz a couple of times and over threw him.

Disappointing. Need at least one playoff win to feel decent about the season. But, preseason they were picked to be the last in their division so it’s exceeded expectations in that aspect.
I’m not upset if they lose next week and the offense sputters if it means they go with a different quarterback next season. Get JJ in there. He’s a winner and he’s going to scramble out of the pocket for first downs as needed. Sometimes you gotta take risks. Broncos, Redskins, and Patriots have found their quarterbacks of the future with rookies. They’ve seen enough of JJ in the building to know if they can build a team around him.
They are a paper tiger. Their best win was a two pint victory at GB. They are the Hoosiers of the NFL
the Lions are the only team in that division that have a serious shot at competing with the upper echelon of AFC teams.
