How did you like your team's pick on the first night?

As a Bronco fan, I thought we filled a need at LT with Bolles. Was hoping Elway would've gone after Reuben Foster personally, but I'm also glad he stayed disciplined and didn't give a ton away to move up.

Obviously I'm not the only one to think this, but thought the Bears pulled a Browns...will be interesting to see how Mahommes pans out in KC

My Pack traded out of first round but picked up a 4th round pick. Need a CB and RB. Now have first pick s today and tomorrow. Hoping they can get. RB Dalvin Cook and CB Kevin King from Washington.

As a Bears fan, this about sums up how I feel about last night:

The Raiders got a rapist. We're back!
The kid already passed a lie detector test, has three witnesses, and the police already know the girl lied about how they met. Still surprised they took him in the first round but it sounds like case may be dropped at this point. They better hope for their sake he didn't do it. DNA test today.

As a bears fan, I'm highly disappointed, would've liked to see Adams or a big receiver. I woulda looked at qb in the second round. Who knows, maybe they will trade the rest of the draft to move up a spot

Howard is awesome, Bama didn't feature him but he can do everything and is so dynamic.

This business of "Well other teams will overdraft these under-talented QBs so we have to do it, too" needs to stop. I get that several teams jumped up to draft a QB, but this is the second year in a row we've heard what a bad QB class it is and that none of these guys would go first round in a "normal" year. And then April rolls around and teams start frothing at the mouth and grabbing QBs before somebody else does.

You could have gotten a day 1 starter on defense with that 3rd pick, and instead they trade away a basket of future picks and take a QB who needs to sit for about 2 years before we find out if he's even any good. A team that desperately needs upgrades at Safety, Corner, LB, DL, LT and they use blow that raft of picks on a guy who wouldn't be a 2nd rounder in a typical year with good QB talent. It's infuriating.

As a Lions fan I was initially pissed they didn't pick Reuben Foster. But then he dropped past the Steelers and I realized that there most be more to the injury concerns than the public knows about. I am very happy they went with a LB and Davis is a great player. I like the safe pick.

In Bob Quinn I trust.

At least our first round pick wasn't a dud.

The Steelers needed an outside more than an inside backer but that does speak well of my favorite team, when others see and respect their evaluation of linebackers.

My Steelers got TJ Watt at 30. I am pretty pleased with it. Going into it, Watt was the guy I was hoping for who the Steelers had a realistic chance to take. Foster was the guy I had in mind who I didn't think would be there, but would love to get in the draft. In the end, both guys were there!

Now onto tonight. Three picks-- the Steelers need to find a DB who can contribute right away.

IMO Lions may have drafted the QB who have the most success in the NFL of all the QBs drafted. I love the way Kayaa plays.

They definitely got him for a bargain. High Wunderlick test. Good athlete. Having a new OC each year he was at Miami didn't help him.

Overall, I'm very happy with the Lions draft. Bob Quinn is like having Michael Jordan compared to all the years of Millen doing his best to consistently churn out the worst drafts ever. I imagine that Bears fans are feeling what I felt for years after this years deal after.

The Bears made me very happy with their draft. :) I'm a Vikings fan and I wish they would have picked Kayaa up. IMO, his tools are better than Bridgewater's and who knows if Teddy will fully recover. The Vikes do get Taylor Heinicke back this year from injury who looked really good in the pre-season 2 years ago. Hopefully he's a serviceable backup for when Bradford gets hurt. They have Case Keenum too. I hated the trade for Bradford when it happened but Spielman is looking like a genius with the way other GMs are reaching on QBs. He gave a first and some other lower picks for a guy that has proven he can play in the NFL and he really didn't have any other options at the time.

Yeah, no. That Bradford trade was terrible at the time and still is. What did he accomplish last year? He was a below average starter, didn't get them into the playoffs, and has little to no upside. I like the Vikings but giving up a first rounder + for a below average starting qb is not smart. You're not winning a super bowl with Bradford so why mortgage your future for him?

Do you actually watch their games? Bradford was not their problem last year and they really didn't have any other option. Their backup wasn't going to stay on his feet the whole year and I think he just entered an assisted living complex. Remember they lost both starting OTs before the season and Sirles started a bunch of games for them. Their O line was terrible and then their D stunk it up about a third of the way through the season. IMO, Bradford gave them the best QB play they've had since Favre. IF they can improve their O line Bradford will be light years better than anybody drafted this year will be for a long time. I've never been a Bradford fan and I was sickened by the Bradford trade until I actually watched him play. I'll take him over Teddy and I am a Teddy fan. JHMO. Bradford's 2017 stats were 20 TDs to 5 ints. 3877 yards. 99.3 rating and a 71.6% completion percentage. Yeah it sure would have been nice to have more TDs but they couldn't run the ball either. That wasn't Bradford's fault. The guy took a beating and just kept getting up. Made me a fan.

He completed a bunch of dink and dunk passes to bad receivers. They had a pretty bad line and suffered a ton of injuries, I get that. I guess my point is more is it worth it to get a mediocre qb who has suffered a ton of injuries in his own right and go 8-8 or just suck for a year. He wasn't terrible and I agree he wasn't the problem, it's not really a criticism of Bradford but more of the process of bringing him in. Him being better than Watson or trubisky or mahomes does not matter at all to me. I'd rather go 3-13 and bring back Teddy and a blue chipper than go 8-8 and only be able to play one of Teddy and Sam. Reasonable minds can disagree.

Just about everybody was picking the Vikes to contend for a division crown last year. So you would have thrown that chance away to suck for a year for a couple of draft picks? Teddy may never come back and while I like Teddy, he doesn't have the game that Bradford has yet. So if you can go 8-8 with that "mediocre" QB and a terrible O line riddled by injury, what could that "mediocre" QB do with a better line and a little more time to go down the field? Inevitably IF he went down the field he got blasted as he let go of the ball. All he had time to do was dink and dunk and that was largely his running game. You don't complete that many passes with that few interceptions unless you're a pretty damned good QB. He proved a bunch to me last year. Give him an O line and a better running game and he'll get the ball deep.

Sure, if Teddy is done then it's definitely defensible and they obviously knew more about how severe it would be then I do. We disagree, hes perfectly serviceable, I don't think he's a significant upgrade over Teddy. He won't get the ball deep, he never has, he has had a historically low yards per attempt every year he's played, and there's no reason to think he'll change that style of play. We can either look at evidence of every season he's played or we can go with what you think he'll be with a different supporting cast. He's fine and like I said if Teddy is done then it makes more sense, but I'd rather have Teddy and Solomon Thomas then Bradford and Teddy, not to mention the other pick. He was better than anyone thought and they still went 8-8, I guess I don't see that as a success. We'll see this year, I hope Teddy can get back out there and at least make it a competition. I have nothing against him and I like the Vikings so I hope I'm wrong. That defense can be really special and now with a better oline and cook they should be fun to watch.

I'll take the fewer yards per completion in exchange for more completions and fewer interceptions. Again, IMO, IF he gets more time to throw he'll take it deep if its there. I'm not sure he's ever really had the chance to play behind a good line or had the kind of guys at WR that could get separation. He is extremely accurate and gets rid of the ball quickly. I like that and I hate interceptions. I'm not sure how much better the O line will be this year, but it can't be much worse.

I was very happy with my Broncos making Chad Kelly, Mr. Irrelevant...has starting caliber talent imo

With some of the decisions he continues to make I'm not sure he'll ever see the field but you're right about his talent. Last pick of the draft though is not much of a gamble.

You know, I was reading up on him, what did he all do? Got kicked out of Clemson, got in an on-field scuffle at his younger brothers game and tried to hook up with a porn star on social media, right?
