NFL draft. Trey to TB. Ochaun to Rams, Vokolek to Ravens UDFA, CT to Jets, Nelson to Miami

First round offensive tackle out of Georgia for my Steelers. Not going to complain. Someone needs to block for Pickett.

Joey Porter Jr. to open the second round... not in love with the pick but not surprised. I live with Penn State fans so I've seen him play a fair amount. Certainly talented but seems to take at least one big penalty a game. We'll see how it goes

The evaluation said too many drops. That said man I didn’t think had that many. That F’n TE Hoskenson the Vikings gave up too much draft capital for had 2 in one game😡.
Right?! I only remember maybe a couple drops by him...

It's like, i get that at the NFL level he's more of a one trick pony type of player (maybe). But he could be a gadget type as well at least with a good perimeter screen game. Alongside being a barn burner.

You’d have known about his inconsistent hands long ago had you:

1. Known what you were watching

and/or

2. Listened to me

Happy for both Huskers.

Looks like yet another with zero guys developed by our former staff getting picked. That has to end immediately.

My Palmer eval, from Nov 26, 2022:
he also remains a giant project for whichever team ends up with him next year

about as inconsistent as it gets from a hands/release/route running/effort standpoint

the guy who said he's not a project is dead wrong
Was a very fun player to watch in an otherwise abysmal season

Thoughts on pack?
Not bad. I still wanted JSN in 1st. Iowa DE Pro comp is Kyle Vanden Bosch. I'll take that. We got some WRs and two good TEs. Got Mason Crosby's replacement. Reached on the Penn State QB. Got some good D line depth. Big RB looks solid. Kentucky CB looks like a steal. Overall a B+.
How did your Bears do?

Penn st qb is a little heinicke-ish (compliment)

Bears - 1 OT, 3 DT, 2 DB, 1 LB, 1 RB, 1 WR

exactly what they needed. Up there w pit in terms of draft history in the secondary.

Hope the big guys are good and ready to play

Sewell (oregon LB) in the 5th was a steal
