I have noticed that Mel has been fairly quiet since that exchange and his NFL clueless rant. I am sure someone got to his ear piece and told him to knock the shit off .I think his hair gel is seeping into his brain.

Sadly I normally enjoy Mel😕
I won’t be surprised if Sanders doesn’t make the team.
Agree. The only subpar game he had last year fo OSU was against Michigan and they mentioned - on TV - he was battling injuries in that game. Once he had time to rest up for the Playoffs, he was absolutely lights outFigured the Steelers might go Howard He should be a good fit for them.
Will he even agree to a "chump change" contract as a 5th round choice? He may quit football altogether and concentrate on fashion and male modeling in Paris.I won’t be surprised if Sanders doesn’t make the team.
You may be on to something. He is wearing the Browns colors! Will he even agree to a "chump change" contract as a 5th round choice? He may quit football altogether and concentrate on fashion and male modeling in Paris.
If anything Browns got him on the cheap. Will probably sign for about $3-6 million a year. Won’t be huge financial hit if Shadouche flames out.
I doubt that a $446, 553 signing bonus would support a Sheduer Sanders for much beyond 90 days. $1.1625 M a year would make him like a poor stupid normal. He will make no where near 3-6 million a year to start out. His total contract won’t even reach 5 million.
The NFL rookie contracts are already predetermined. Here is what AI said his contract will be…
A player drafted at pick #144 in the NFL Draft is projected to receive a four-year rookie contract worth approximately $4.65 million. This includes a signing bonus of around $446,553, according to Spotrac. The total contract value can fluctuate slightly depending on the specific player and team negotiations.

When you spend 100k on chains and watches you're not exactly spending your money wisely and thinking about the future.I doubt that a $446, 553 signing bonus would support a Sheduer Sanders for much beyond 90 days. $1.1625 M a year would make him like a poor stupid normal.
No did you flunk math . 4.6 over 4 years including a 400 kplus singing bonus’. So his contract is 4.1 over 4 years. That’s 1 million/yr not 1.5-2.Ok, so $1.5-2 million a year. Was just kinda guessing at the 3+ million.

Yeah it's going to be very difficult to make noise in this league without a decent amount of draftable talent on the roster. Indiana managed to do it but they were an extreme outlier. Seems like they have the facilities, fan support and have a decent coaching staff. But they are going to need dudes. Lots of dudes.
Is he taking a pay cut to ride the NFL bench ......if he makes the roster at all ?If anything Browns got him on the cheap. Will probably sign for about $3-6 million a year. Won’t be huge financial hit if Shadouche flames out.
Much more has changed in college football since 1998 than just Nebraska, Dr Tom and the triple option. I do not know if Nebraska will be able to compete financially in today's pay for play NIL transfer world, but I do believe we have the right pieces, coaching and support system in place so we can at least return to the 9-win seasons and heart-breaking losses before Dr Tom broke out after 25 years with in the twilight of his coaching career.
That isn’t no big surprise look at what our records were from 93-98 compared to our record the past decade.Much more has changed in college football since 1998 than just Nebraska, Dr Tom and the triple option. NFL players are also a product of development. Which we have severely lacked the past decade. I think this staff will also turn that around by sending 3 and 4 stars to the league. That isn’t no big surprise look at what our records were from 93-98 compared to our record the past decade.
Of course look at Maryland they had 6 players drafted and ended up 4-8 with only one B1G win.
Good kid landed in a great spot. Being drafted gives him a better chance to stick on the roster. Good for him. This is what the draft is all about.
Hell of a streak. Are the overall numbers getting closer?
You would think so with the 4 latest additions, but the SEC obviously has a ton of talent.Hell of a streak. Are the overall numbers getting closer?
Some of that is just geography and the number of teams. The talent pool in their geographical footprint mirrors the NFL talent makeup. Not that many dudes in the B1G footprint. It’s why Rhule has gone heavy in Florida with his staff and recruiting.

How many of the B1G’s draftees transferred in from other conferences for their last year or two? Several at least I know. 😕![]()

Doesn't matter. Everyone is transferring everywhere. I know Texas had at least 2 transfer in with Ewers and Golden. How many of the B1G’s draftees transferred in from other conferences for their last year or two? Several at least I know. 😕
