Asking a lot of a freshman QB to come in and be competent right away. Maybe you've got more faith than I do in the backups already on the roster but the fact they keep trotting Simms out there as bad as he's been tells me there's probably nothing in the cupboard. But that's just me pessimistic after watching the last 3 horrendous halves of football.

There is no reason a program with our money shouldn't be able to get a competent QB out of the portal.

I don't have much faith in a true freshman from Bellevue West to come in and be great right away. Malachi Coleman can't even get on the field as a freshman and he's one of the best athletes to come out of this state in a long time.
