So, it sounds like we should definitely beat Iowa this year.
They’ll pull a short, skinny freshman accounting major with pop bottle glasses outta the stands, and we’ll make him look like a Heisman candidate.
Depends on if McNamara plays the next 2 weeks..
Again it will be a big pillow fight with two offenses near the bottom (99th and 101) in total offense in the country.
Whoever Iowa starts against us at QB will have a career game and look like the second coming of Tom Brady.
Oh, but we have one of the best defensive coordinators in the country.
This will definitely result in a walk-on safety beating us at QB.
I get we all want to be funny and resign to the 'woe is me' mindset, but this is a good thing for us.
Sounds like it will either be McNamara (if healthy) or the 4th string Stratton. I don't think they have a QB behind him so could get interesting.
Truthfully, I 100% do not believe we will beat Iowa even if Ferentz himself lines up at QB. I'm not trying to be funny. Nothing is funny about our football program.

I know you are being sarcastic (I hope), but this team cannot take advantage of any opportunity that comes their way. They find ways to lose instead of finding ways to win.
That is my view as well. He will be back and he will have a solid game against us. It is at night at Kinnick. We suck on both sides of the ball. We cannot beat any team with a pulse. There is a very low probability that we will win. I think our chances are much better against Wisconsin despite the QB uncertainty at Iowa

Unfortunately that's the sweet spot against our defense. That soft middle that results from 10 yard cushions by the secondary and a 4 man rush that doesn't get home.

I'll drink to that. If we somehow pull off a miracle against Wisconsin it might turn this whole season around. I know it wouldn't for a lot, but I can live with 6-7 wins for one more year.

i doubt they'll do anything we won't expect. they'll try to run Kaleb Johnson down our throats and force us to beat them through the air.
this is one where getting vertical for a score early in the game would be huge. have to force them to play keep-up
They’ll be too one dimensional to give our defense fits if they trot him out there. It’s teams that can play action or rpo well that make our defense look like 5th graders.
Kaleb Johnson out of the Wildcat for sure. Be curious how many minutes he gets against Maryland this weekend. He was no where to found when he was needed most in the 4 th quarter against UCLA.
Then he turned the ball over 3 times against UCLA. Iowa and QB’s don’t mix lately.
Iowa fans constantly spouting off about Nebraska’s QBs never making it to the end of the season due to crappy/soft OL play is hilarious with this development. Iowa fans I’ve come across are complete a$$hats on all things to do with Husker football, including the two Iowa dorks itt. Hawkeye fans are the worst in CFB and although I would never wish injury on a player, there is no amount of suffering that is enough for the horrible hawkeye fan base.
I don't think it is/was "spouting off" rather than just realizing that if you have an offense built around a running QB, they are eventually going to get hurt. That line of thinking is there regardless of the team we are talking about.
They will play the punter at QB and he will burn us for 300 yards passing.
