Is talking about. I'm going with the RB we got in late this year who was RSing. Can't even remember his name but he's my guess...what day you?

I unfortunately think he walks, because the talent level isn't there anymore. Injuries took their toll and he might enjoy life elsewhere; maybe D2 if at all.
Just to be clear, you think Fidone is at best a D2 player or maybe not worthy of even playing D2? Are you drunk?

He clearly isn't smooth after the injuries, but he also plays for the only team in America that would constantly have him catch passes behind the line of scrimmage and count on a TE to make people miss, immediately after catching the ball. He's a big, sure handed kid with a big catch radius who is best suited for catching passes in stride or sitting down in coverage. Utilized the exact wrong way by this staff.

first time I seen barney play I was wondering where they was hiding him and why he wasen' returning everything.
reminds me of mix between abdul mohamid and rocket ismail

Emmett Johnson all day. You don’t want to screw up what’s working. Really baffling that Minnesota did not offer EJ. Iowa had interest also but did not offer.
I say play EJ as much as possible. He was on a role and the coaches put Gabe Ervin in for a couple of plays on Saturday. Why? Sometimes I think Rhule's staff thinks they get extra points for a participation trophy.

Gabe was in a few plays. I have no issue with that based on how well they subbed. They seemed to have a real feel for the backs and had a legit rhythm.

In general, I could say that managing egos to avoid an unwanted portal exit could sometimes be factor, but that should not be the case with Ervin. EJ and Dowdle are clearly 1-2 and younger. Nelson is a Dana guy apparently. Parker coming in.

Going forward with 105 limit, my guess is:
5 deep on OL/DL
2-3 deep for kicker, punter, long snapper
4 deep mostly for the rest.
The last few sprinkled in with positions that contribute on ST

That’s it. There is nothing beyond that.

Is there room for Connor Booth? As one example. If he can play ST, that helps.

If a scholarship player gets injured and is out they should be able to bring another guy up. 4 deep at RB, we’ve seen it where 2 guys are out.

And people that watched on TV. I said who the heck is 44 that bastard can play
I even said 3-4 years ago, NU should use someone like Garrett Nelson as a glorified TE to just smack people around. Nothing wrong with #44 showing them what being physical looks like.

Over the years, between the FB's and the TE's, they rarely caught or ran the ball, but they were as important as anyone on the offense other than the QB.

Nothing like really physical play.

RB is one of the positions that can contribute to ST, so maybe that justifies another a head.

But there is no “should be able to bring another guy up”. 105 is all you have total to work with. Even if you ignore special teams, which you can’t, you can’t go 5 deep at every position in the 22. Some positions will have to be 4 deep. That incudes your projects, misses, and injuries.

EJ doesn’t have the size for 25+ carries/game.

Right. Can't give him 25 touches every game. I don't mind subbing. It's the subbing with no rhyme or reason that bothered me. Let the guy get a rhythm and see who can play. EJ got a rhythm and they rode with him. Don't just give 4 guys a combined 27 carries with nobody able to get into a rhythm. Sat or Barfield both should be canned for that garbage.

Too many packages that give away what you are running based on who is in the game. Trying to run the perfect play every time. Thank God Dana is calling plays now ..man

Did he walk for Senior Day? IGC even caught a pass when he has only seen the field on punt returns. Just a thought.
IGC also dropped a pass right to him when the game was still in doubt. I texted my buddy to the effect “ Let’s win the game first before we give the seniors who haven’t been playing a curtain call”.

Lindenmeyer has played a fair amount this year. He’s got fullback measurables. I think the one really bad miss to the endzone by Dylan was to Lindenmeyer. If I recall correctly that pass cost us the game.
Yep, that was the Illinois game, and I think you’re right, it was lindemeyer…
