New Favorite Recruit

Maurice Washington. Yes, please. Very unique. Doesn't look super speedy when you are watching from above on his HUDL highlight real, but you can tell he is a long-stride kind of kid. Then go to his twitter and watch from the field view. Power, speed, and elusive.

What position does he play?

What's the scoop on this guy? Have we offered? is he committed somewhere else? is he visiting us?

Santino Panico also looked good in his high school film. I would like to for us to have more speed coming from our RB's.

Impressive TD by Washington on his first carry. He also won the fastest man competition yesterday. Hope we land this kid, he could be special. Nice call OP

Is he going to qualify? His Rivals profile lists 2 JUCO programs. I've never seen that before.

Dude. Good call.

I recall last year the talk on here was that Jaylin didn't get a higher rating and more offers because if his grades and if course because he was from Nebraska.

I don't think evaluators look at any if that, how would they even know or why would they even care about the grades?

It's a funny feeling (again) to know our coach's are already in on a kid like this, instead of wishing they were...

Two predictions from another recruiting site today shows M. Washington to Ole Miss. He's just waiting to get more offers from a sec school and a bump in the ratings. Don't think he's coming here.

Sounds like he likely will not qualify and will have to go the juco route.

His high school coach says his academics are good.

A couple nice posts about him:
this kid transferred to my alma matter this year. took a team that went 4-6 last year to state champions this year. easily the most talented kid to ever come through our school. never seen anyone like him before. played WR, RB, Saftey, and punted. he had 45+ yard boots on regular occurrences. just can do it all. think he would be perfect for a slot guy. don't know why schools in Texas aren't taking a better look at him. He's playing in the UAA game this weekend and is a three star. has offers from USC, Ohio St, LSU, Nebraska, and others. this kid will be a major factor at the college level and you can take that to the bank.

and
I knew his dad who played at my university and he was a beast as a WR. “Lil Mo” is what we called him , always at his dads practices. Doesn’t surprise me he is this talented . His dad passed away from cancer while on the OAk Raiders practice squad .

In his sideline interview he said, "I'm really under the radar." The interviewer said, "Not any more!" Washington responded, "I hope not!"

Sounds like he either wants a few more schools to jump on board so he can say he could have gone to _____ school, or because he is waiting for a certain school to offer him. Sucks for us if the latter is what he is waiting for.

Not sure how he is under the radar with offers from USC, Ohio State, LSU, Nebraska and others.

I had questions about the academics comments but the fact this was his first year at a private school does she'd some light.

Would love to have this kid, he brings a lot to a team.

This is a truly fantastic post. Well done sir!

I wasn't sure if he was trolling or not... so I looked at several of his previous posts and one for his prediction next year was this:

4-8. We go the Foster's Farm Bowl and beat UCLA. So 5-8.
So I took it that he was serious about Bookie... but I could be wrong!

I think one recruiting wonk said on the radio yesterday that the reason he wasn't ranked higher early on was that he didn't play football his junior year. I don't know if that's true or not. Once people see him play this year the offers came in late on him.

That’s why I love it. It’s pure entertainment either way! Straight Andy Kaufman.

Good thing on Washington is that Frost has been in on him the longest. They talk almost daily so hopefully this means something to him in the end. If he can't see how he's a perfect fit in this offense I don't know what else to say. Ole Miss in trouble and Tennessee not sure what the offense will look like should give us an advantage but I worry about UCLA.

I just want a 10 minute Uber to Levi's Stadium for our bowl game so I can tailgate with Huskers in California again.
