so far newcomers Allen has 16, Copleland 12 and Palmer 26 for the Huskers. Lead by 19.

Had a school program then practice to get to. So when I got in the car a few minutes before half and heard it was a 1 point game I about blew a gasket. Then I heard who was all sitting and I got back into my driving lane. Laughing

Allen's upt to 18 now. New guys can score some.

Excited for Saturday with Watson and Roby back. Also excited for no more shit rotations, time to man up and play.

Didn’t like the rebounding #s.
I could be wrong, but watching in person, the bad rebounding numbers seemed to be a total lack of effort. While that sounds bad, it almost appeared to me as if the players had been directed to not put a ton of effort into rebounding, especially on the offensive end, to avoid the possibility of injuries in a meaningless exhibition game. There were a number of times that players put up shots, and by the time the ball had missed, all but maybe one Husker player had turned to setup for defense. Again, I could be wrong, but just based on what I saw in person, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.

Well, practicing soft to avoid injuries seems to work for Riley's football team, so why not? UNL gives out contract extensions for coaching like that.

Third practice game of the season, could be hard to get up for. Good win without Watson and Roby. I don’t know if we’ve ever seen a Nebraska roster like this since 90’s? We’ll see if the wins follow.

The rebounding was putrid and that was almost all Miles talked about after the game. It was clear that there was little to no effort in the first half. It improved in the second half, but not by a lot. Jordy seem to have forgotten much of what he learned last year. For God's sake, don't grab a rebound and immediately bring the ball down to waist level. NaNa is more athletic that I thought. Thomas Green is the real deal. Very quick release on his shot, NBA 3 point range, fearless to the basket. When he and Watson are on the court at the same time even very good defensive teams are going to have difficulty dealing with both of them. Palmer is a stud. Petteway without the need to be a volume shooter to score. Copeland doesn't have his legs under him yet. When you compare the video of his freshman year to now he has no lift on his outside shot and his first step is in cement compared to his freshman year. Hopefully that will improve with playing time and confidence. Of course, all this is said with the caveat of having watched a poor video of the MSU game and a game against a mediocre Division 2 school. But the pieces are there for an interesting year.

I feel like it's a trap that I keep walking into every November for the last 40 years.

Amen to that!

The players sure are confident that they will have a great season. Would be nice if it actually happens.

With Palmer, Copeland, and Allen stepping in, dare I say we might have a high scoring offense! Let's hope we are also tough on the boards, solid on D, and effective at passing. So far it looks like driving and the 3 may be our strong suit.

I have season tickets. I sooo want to believe that we can win our way to the post season but after the past 3yrs. $hit show in Feb. and March I say Show me I need to actually see it this season.

We played pretty bad, Palmer, Allen, and Taylor looked good. Copeland and McVeigh not so much. Excited for Saturday!
