Fans should probably be more realistic. We only have one upperclassmen on the team and lost two of our best scorers from a season ago. To expect a better season this year to last would be completely unrealistic. At the same time you would think we would be making better progress. I understand a lot of Husker fans are becoming impatient and I don't blame them, but what are the real expectations for a basketball program that has never won an Ncaa tournament game? We think it's hard to hire a football coach at Nebraska where we have a top 10 team historically? Imagine how hard it is to bring in a basketball coach to a program that has literally no history of success. Also for the record I'm not defending Miles, just giving a little perspective.
Losing to Gardner Webb is completely unacceptable, and I understand the criticism. I want this program to be successful, but what are the REAL expectations for this program? I'm sure my opinion will be received negatively by some posters, so before you reply please don't be too hard on me, haha. GBR!
