Impossible, but it would be interesting if Football could somehow calculate a WAR-like statistic (Wins above actual replacement); a proxy for which injury would have the biggest impact (over a season) on number of games won.

Might it look something like this for Nebraska's starters? Just spit balling. Maybe don't focus on number but the ranking.

Wins above replacement:
3.0 = Martinez (Vedral)
2.0 = Jaimes (Gaylord)
1.7 = D. Williams (Lee/true freshman)
1.6 = M. Dismuke (Lee/true freshman)
1.5 = Furgeson (Nelson?)
1.4 = Barry (Honas)
1.3 = Wilson (Sichterman)
1.2 = Spielman (Williams)
1.1 = Wandale (Jones)
1.0 = Farniok (Benhart)
1.0 = Hixson (Raridon)
1.0 = Darrion Daniels (Davis/Daniels)
0.8 = Noa (Williams)
0.8 = W. Farniok (Forbes/Miller)
0.5 = Stoll (Allen)
0.3 = Jackson (Taylor)
0.2 = Bootle (Taylor)
0.0 = Hunt (Williams)
0.0 = A Davis (Domann)
0.0 = Mills (Washington)
0.0 = Miller (Honas)
0.0 = Davis (Davis)
0.0 = Stille (Davis)

Assumes: Speilman, Noa, Hunt are the WR starters, Wandale at Duck, and Cam not ready to play yet.

Whose injury impact should be ranked higher, lower?
