• Took down his round of 32 opponent from Arizona State with a major decision, 14-4, before the sophomore pinned Rider’s No. 20 Colton Washleski in 3:42 time to make it to the quarterfinal round
• Defeated No. 12 Chase Saldate of Michigan (D; 15-11), No. 9 Paddy Gallagher of Ohio State (SV-1; 4-1) in the semifinals and No. 6 Ryder Downey of Northern Illinois (D; 4-3) to earn the 157-pound title

Matt Ramos, Purdue
125 pounds – Sr. – Lockport, Ill. – Lockport

• Won the 125-pound Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational Championship with a total score of 48-9, his second tournament crown of the season
• Earned ranked wins over No. 4 Troy Spratley (Oklahoma State) and No. 11 Eddie Ventresca (Virginia Tech), with a forfeit from No. 12 Vincent Robinson (NC State)
• Added two tech falls to his nation-leading total of nine on the year while becoming the first four-time CKLV place winner in school history and the first Cliff Keen champion for Purdue since 2019
• Undefeated at 14-0, Ramos has not surrendered a single takedown in any of his matches, including five ranked opponents

• Defeated No. 6 Michael Beard of Lehigh on the road, rolling to an 11-3 major decision over the sixth-year senior and All-American in Penn State’s 36-3 win against Lehigh
• Picked up three takedowns, including two in a strong third period, to roll to the win
• Improved to 4-0 with two pins and a technical fall
• Earns Penn State’s first Freshman of the Week honor
