Great trip and a chance for a little payback for the two recent smackdowns by UCLA. Who would have predicted that happening for a 5-7 team? Thanks go to academic support staff for high academic progress marks and to the fans for traveling anywhere to support our team. Hopefully the 2016 team will get a good bowl game based solely on their performance.

Foster farms against a 8-4 Wash State team notable wins Ore ,Ore S,Ariz,UCLA, Rut,Colo and WY

Are those notable wins over Oregon State, Rutgers, Colorado and Wyoming? We are out of our league! We shouldn't even play the game!

Seriously, don't go overboard here. Mention Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, but leave the rest out. Makes you look silly mentioning the other teams.

And there's still a great chance it will be UCLA...

Lets play someone we havent played in awhile....UCLA is a been there lost to that thing

Really don't want to play UCLA. Not a fan of playing the same OOC team over and over. If we never play Washington again, I'll be fine with that. Playing them 3 times like we did was overkill. While it won't be that way with UCLA, it'll still be 3 times in a fairly short time span.
I'd rather see us play someone we haven't played in at least ten years.

I can see that you haven't been watching football. That Freshman is a better passer than any quarterback that we have had in the past 7 years. Our Jr. QB is called Tommy Turnover for a reason. I'm not excited about this matchup if it does come to fruition.

I can see that your irony detector is broken.

My comment (which now loses whatever meager humorous value it ever contained) was meant to be a sarcastic/ironic play on the discussion last week regarding whether POB would be able to take over NU's QB role next year as a true Frosh.

ucla lost several games for a reason.

I would take UCLA's record over Nebraska's record this year. Freshman quarterback and all. You wouldn't?

I think Rosen was a consensus #1 QB in all the land. POB is good, but not that.

Rosen is a fair bit of aberration for most freshman. However if POB comes in and lights it up, no complaints here.

I guess it begs the question, of the 4 losses UCLA had this year, how many of them were on Rosen? In UCLA's 4 losses, Rosen completed 55% of his passes for 1172 yards, 5 ints and 6 tds. Only in one game did he throw more ints (2) to tds (1) in those losses. The most ints he threw in a game all season was 3, one time, against BYU, and they still won the game. Was Rosen the reason UCLA had 4 losses? That seems to be what yorocco is suggesting, which I disagree with.

from everything we heard on this board, one would have to be desperate to start a freshman at the QB position..

Rosen wasn't the #2 overall prospect in the nation last year by accident. He's also shown inconsistency that you typically expect from a frosh at QB. It's not quite as bad as the inconsistency shown by our QB -- 4 years removed from high school -- but yeah.

Kinda feeling the same way I felt before the Iowa game. Find a way to win the turnover battle and I think we have a shot.
