Nebraska offers Teddy Rezac

Xavier Watts is the last in-state player I remember signing with ND. He moved into a starting safety position toward the end of last year (as a junior). He seems to be fairly productive for them.

Dad's company is the sponsor for Westside legion baseball (KB Littles), which is great. But dad was known to sit in the dugout during games when his boys were playing. Not as a coach.

He also coaches football at Westside. Dad has a lot of influence at Westside...

Asshole that holds his money over people's heads or something? The sitting in the dugout not as a coach? Like to hear some spin that as anything but DOUCHE.

I wonder if that NDFairy will show up to give us his thoughts
No problem.

1) Anyone who is an adult & changes names like a child would do is a loser

2) Love Rezac. Just finished interview with him from the weekend & he LOVES ND

3) Xavier Watts graduated a couple weeks ago, in 3 years, with a degree from ND & is going to start this year. Great kid, followed him since he was at Burke.

4) A lot of Salty, butthurt “fans” in this thread attacking Rezac’s dad. Are you the same fans who boycotted Xavier Watts’ dad’s business?

5) I told all my In-Laws who are Nebraska grads/former athletes/boosters, while sitting at a pool at Disney World right after Frost was fired and on Fall Break, that Nebraska needed to hire Matt Rhule. Of course, some of them wanted to keep Mickey Joseph because, “he’s a Nebraska man!” Blah, blah, blah.
Nebraska got it right, finally. Followed Rhule when he was at Temple & dude can coach and develop college.

Making fun of teachers salaries is a really cool and funny thing to do in 2023 and shows how cool of a person you are for making more money than teachers do. Or really, just bragging about making lots of money or more money than others is just really cool in general.

This.

Lps teachers start at 47k I believe. Coach a zero pressure sport or two for high school like bowling or tennis or golf etc? 5k per sport. So do a fall and spring sport, there's an extra 10k. Have a masters that is often paid for by taxpayers? Don't even use said masters? Don't worry, they are required to pay you more. Not sure how much more, but guessing an extra 5k.
Teach the joke that is summer school every so often? I think an extra 5-8k.

So do that every other year while you're young and act like you don't even make that summer money, so the of years you can summer Europe or wherever.

Can't say for LPS but your coaching numbers are way off for my kids school. And I guess I must just appreciate teachers and coaches. Varsity basketball coach was at gym Saturday mornings coaching the little kids clinics while every other male was deer or pheasant hunting.

A lot of places have teacher shortages, or at least don't have excess applications for open jobs. So I would say teachers must be paid pretty close to market value.

Teacher hate is so weird to me.

No teacher hate. Actually think administration does a shit job supporting them with disciplining students etc.
Just not a fan of bitching about being underpaid CONSTANTLY. My highschooler has had MULTIPLE teachers complain to them about being woefully underpaid. Not a fan of that.
And I think the pressure sport coaches deserve every penny they make. The others? How much time does a girls bowling coach put in breaking down game film? And yes I was told the 5k number by a teacher in LPS.

There is a lot of pressure when you coach bowling!!! What if they are out of fries or tater tots???

Everyone else likes him as a LB. Notre Dame has been after him pretty hard and it looks like once again NU is playing catch up for an in-state prospect. I was hoping that those days were over.
After the summer run of instate commits, do you still feel this way?

$$$$$

Maybe we’ll offer him more money.

Not at all. I figured Rhule would offer the kids who deserve it and not slow play them (Pelini) or pretty much just ignore them (Riley & Frost). And that has proven true. But it didn't look that way after losing Rezac and getting in on him way too late. I'll chalk that one up to it just being a new staff in transition and also Notre Dame being a fantastic option for a lot of kids.

Do you think they should offer his brother?
