The Nebraska Volleyball team rose up to No. 4 in the latest AVCA coaches' poll that was released Monday afternoon. The Huskers are coming off a 3-0 weekend after hosting the Ameritas Players Challenge when they swept Utah State, Lipscomb and SMU in three consecutive days. The Huskers move up one spot as they were tied for No. 5 with Pittsburgh in the preseason poll. The Panthers lost their season opener 3-1 to BYU so they dropped down to No. 10.

Former No. 1 team Texas dropped a contest to Long Beach State. As a result, the Longhorns come in at No. 7. Now, three of the top five teams in the country reside in the Big Ten conference. All bolded teams are Husker opponents this season. Also, I hope the only one voting for Texas to be No. 1 is their own head coach. Otherwise, don't know why someone voted for them.
