Clint Cosgrove gives us an A-. Very complimentary of Rhule’s closing efforts

Also thought it was interesting to see where the rest of the league landed. Seems like overall the B1G is getting more talented. The top 8 B1G teams all are in the top 40 nationally for recruiting rankings.

You self rating your posting history? Pretty generous if you ask me.
No, my posting history would be A-. The C+ is the rating of this recruiting class. With time, my assessment will prove to be accurate. However, my assessment shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who has a brain and doesn't let emotions cloud their judgement, because a C or C+ is in alignment with historical transition classes. I believe this class was a C+ because I think the staff did a good with #s, which hasn't been a slam dunk surprisingly

Does your employer(s) approve of you belittling their clientele? If you were on my dime, I’d fire you on the spot.

clientele? do coaches pay recruiting sites for their rankings?

frankly, I think C+/B- is pretty fair. how many immediate impact guys are in this class?

my hope is a C+ class turns into an A in 3 years. under our prior regime, we had B+/A- classes turning into Fs before the next season even started.

I don't think you can win your conference on early signing day, but you can definitely lose it. Rhule & staff don't seem to have done that, which is a good foot forward.

Has your complete analysis been published anywhere?

Recruiting aside, the guy’s routine has gotten old.

Thank you sir.

If I were giving grades myself, I’d give the class different grades:
Signing class only: B-
Class considering new coach and timing: B+
Overall class plus transfers: A-

Rhule was hired around 3 weeks before signing day so Al things considered it was good.
Key transfers at LS, C, QB, LB and DE were nice.
Nowadays the class alone doesn’t matter but class plus transfers. Most of our best players this past year were transfers.

I am excited for next season for sure. For the first time in years.

Wait, what? I was posting a complimentary article. I agree and am pleased with the class given where Rhule had to start from. Maybe I’m misreading and this was supposed to be a reply to another poster?
Ya, I don't understand the problem with the OP. Saw no shade tossed at NU at all. Maybe 61 was responding to someone else and made a mistake? 😕

I'm excited too, even made hotel reservations for the Minnesota game. One thing that makes overall evaluation hard for me is not knowing how much deficiencies are talent and how much coaching related. So for instance, we didn't get a TE and I'm pretty sure Rhule wanted one. So does this cause the overall class to go from A to C? Or has Rhule determined we are OK with the 9 TEs we have if they are coached up a little. If that is the case, then no TE makes us go from an A to an A-

I think that trend for the B1G has been going in for a while. Getting good coaches in the league who generally stay makes a difference.

The days of putting "win" by many B1G teams based on the past is well over. Many have become much better and we have not. A lethal combination.

I think we still have some areas to address through that portal and TE is definitely one of them.

Thankfully the belittling is only applicable to the minority of my followers - so the leadership understands and subscriptions have remained steadfast

Here’s to a finally healthy Fidone! May he turnout to be the star he was meant to be for Nebraska!

Androff, Carnie, Rollins and Hickman all have the size and talent to be stars as well! Hopefully with a fresh competent coaching staff, Nebraska will have 5 superstar TE’s!!

Yep I was responding to “truhusker”. Should’ve included the quote from him I guess.

Fidone posted a video a day or two ago and I shuddered watching it. In one he squatted from a standing position and then all the way down, but with his knees extended as far beyond his toes as possible. In the other he's kneeling and then with his knees still bent reclines almost to the point where his back touches the ground, and then raises back to a kneeling position.

If you want to tear an ACL or re-injure one, doing anything with your knees in front of your toes will get the job done. Not good.

EDIT: found it.

Although you seem to be a weirdo I agree with the rating. I think the class had a great chance to become an F with a mediocre class being an unlikely scenario. People are hopeful because it seems thing went well but there are consequences for firing a dozen coaches including two head coaches in two months. One thing our fans forget...there are consequences for every failure because every other big ten team recruits, trains, develops, fund raises, and does everything in their power to win...NU has made so many mistakes that the prospect of winning soon is fantasy.
