rgrachek's thread on the stock market got me to wondering...
And I REALLY hope we can keep politics out of this. Both parties have fvcked this up for longer than I can remember.
What is the end game with the national debt? How does this end? Is it simply that the US is "too big to fail" and everything will be written off? Everyone in gov't knows it so what the hell...just keep spending?
It looks to me like we're heading toward Armageddon with our foot on the accelerator.
Or is this the poker match of all time and we're holding a nut flush?
Talk to me like I'm 5 years old and explain what the hell the gov't is doing and how this ultimately plays out? TIA
