Hawkeye fans tend to be very selective with their numbers. Listening to them, you quickly learn that college football first began play in 2002 and that if you don’t count the times they scored less points than the opposition, Iowa is actually undefeated.
Iowa has been easy to scheme against for years. Urban Meyer didn't follow the recipe because he didn't feel he needed to.

Wisconsin is a very good team, but I have no doubt Iowa is going to pound Nebraska like last year.
We are currently tied with Iowa in the west with a 3-4 record

True, most programs wouldn’t exactly brag about mediocre numbers like that, but you’re Iowa—it’s what you do and why your fans are so despised all around the Big Ten (ask Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Penn State fans what they think of Iowa fans if you want a good laugh, not to mention most of their bowl opponents). And when a program has exactly one major bowl win since the Eisenhower administration? Well, let’s just say it’s not hard to see why you’d be all giddy over the possibility of another 8-5 season.

You don’t see Northwestern fans beating their chests on our board day after day. Purdue fans aren’t here. Michigan State fans, Wisconsin fans, Indiana fans—not one of them to be seen anywhere. No, only IOWA fans are dumb enough to think we’re going to be awestruck by a program that has 1 major bowl win in the last 60 years, 11 4-loss seasons in the last 13, and STILL a worse winning percentage than Nebraska over the same highly selective time frame you’re so intent on touting.
Nebraska hasn’t been impressive this century, and neither...has...Iowa. 4 top ten finishes (2 coming off humiliating blowout losses in bowl games) doesn’t change what you are: a 7-5 program. I’m sure that—compared to how godawful you were before Hayden Fry—7-win seasons and Alamo Bowl berths make it seem like you’ve actually accomplished something; it’s just that nobody outside of Iowa City happens to agree and/or give a damn.
Just know your place and stop trying to prove yourselves to Nebraska—maybe Iowa State will be impressed by your accomplishments (although maybe not—they’ve beaten you in half your games this century and appear to be the best team in your state right now), but we are not. No matter how down Husker football may be, Iowa’s definition of success will never be a height anyone in their right mind would aspire to.

Iowa didn’t really attempt some of its options to counteract Wisconsin’s aggressiveness, especially with quick passes or screens.
Wisconsin is the real deal however self inflicted wounds were Iowa's undoing, a couple of drops, a fluke fumble recovery by Wisky were the difference, a very winnable game for the Hawkeyes that they unfortunately gave away.

I think this putrid Nebraska team could be an even match with Iowa . However, ‘beat us while you can’ was uttered before to teams like and other than Iowa....thing is teams like Iowa keep winning....through multiple staffs.
If anything should have been learned, it should have been to keep shut mouths. There is no guarantee with the next staff, despite the realization there will be a next staff.

Let's assume we actually show up to play against Iowa being the last game, senior day, etc. and somehow get a win to go to 5-7. Does anybody know where we stand in that graduation index that would get a 5 win team into a bowl. I was watching some game yesterday, think it was k-state where that was brought up that k-state was #4 on that index so they had a chance to go bowling with 5 wins.
we had a purpose in 2015 Riley's first year and we were showing improvement.
I'm not interested going to a bowl with this staff and getting embarrassed and losing...
