Is he having a horrible game or what?

Reminds of last year's claims about him trying to throw the game or whatever people were saying.

Putting himself way out of position and overrunning plays.

Defense overall is playing awful. Why is every receiver wide open? D-Line has to get more pressure.

I've seen at least two pass breakups he made, and in on several tackles. Didn't notice if he was out of position, but he's obviously doing some good things too.

Out of position means poorly coached.

He just made a great rugby style tackle on Thorson to force 4th down.

The only play that stood out to me was the long TD by their QB. Nate came in and appeared to be sealing the edge with nobody there to make the tackle. Was this a mistake by Nate, or a good play by Nate and somebody (Bando?) out of position nowhere to be seen to make the easy tackle?

Maybe I watched a different game. Gerry was a gamer all night long. Didn't miss any tackles, stopped a pass on third down in the red zone during the first quarter. I see an NFL future for him.
Gerry did make some plays. He also missed some tackles, a first down run up the gut comes to mind..you need to watch again. The 2nd Td was also technically his fault although it was a good play by nw.
To me he's like Armstrong...loads of talent, makes some plays, but bonehead sometimes

Agreed. Not sure if it was all his fault, but the QB TD run was the 2nd or 3rd time on a run play that looked like he put himself in poor position (by crashing so hard that it gave the guy a huge gap to cut up through) that made me start the post in the first place.

He did play well most of the game though. I think there was only another couple plays of his that stood out to me the rest of the game.

Jesus. Leave the kid alone. I heard his name announced the most in the stadium during the first quarter when Justin Jackson was once again gashing our defense and breaking the tackles of the front seven.

Seems to me he was the only one who could tackle Jackson in the first quarter.
