The timing of this and this bothers me. It could effect programs, being a coach myself this would have an impact. That being said we do need to be more competitive in sports like football, mens and womens basketball, baseball, etc. Our sports teams need strong leadership. I just hope we do things in a professional manner. Being a recruiting nut I hope the timing of things are not used against us. I know it will be. I support coaches generally but they have to produce a good product. The coaches understand that and expectations are high at Nebraska and they should be. Our facilities are some of the top in the nation. There are not a lot of draw backs to a successful program other than proximity. But we supply our coaches with the top things necessary to be successful. They want private jets etc we get them that. No excuses for lack of success. Administration should demand that success. I am trying to be diplomatic with out putting personal feelings into to this. Enough said. GBR!
