Dylan has been like checkdown Sam Keller lately. High completion rate, but that style of play doesn't win football games. He was 22 of 33 for 199 yards last night in frigid temperatures. Had we kicked the FG and not muffed the punt his effort would have won the game.
most infuriating play of the night
Whoever snaps the field goals.long snapper
Need better skill position players
Had no desire to catch that ball based on where he was on the field.
Interesting
vs LSU is a good matchup most of the time. They always have a truly ridiculous amount of opt-outs.Interesting
I don’t know what to expect from LSU after this season. Obviously they have better talent than us.
BC is a bad matchup IMO.
Plus who knows how hard those kids will want to play for Kelly after 3 straight weeks of ass chewingvs LSU is a good matchup most of the time. They always have a truly ridiculous amount of opt-outs.
Make sure it’s realistic. In hindsight we should build a statue of Pelini on 9th street
It’s hard to convey flying spittle on a statue. But you could exaggerate the vein in his forehead that was ready to pop at any momentMake sure it’s realistic.
All qbs miss deep balls and the fans never know if the route was correct or run hard or disrupted in some way. We literally handed Iowa the ball inside their 5 and missed a chip-shot field goal because we still can't snap the ball in the last game of the season. Both special teams mistakes for a guy who was supposed to be gone by now. Dylan did what a freshman should do, on the road against a good defense, in the cold at night...except for the last fumble. He was starting his 12th game last night. After game 5 the freshman excuse is gone. He needs to hit those deep balls and know where the pressure is coming from. He coughed it up twice last night and was lucky to recover one of them.
Ok,so you don’t watch the games. At least Nebraska games.Neyor was bad, but I honestly was duped into thinking that a year ago, the team was a SERVICEABLE QB away from fielding an 8-9 win squad. Our 5-star freshman didn’t hit a WR in stride on a deep pass all year…missed a WIDE open TE in the endzone against Illinois to win… I just expected darts, and what we got was a lot of underthrown and overthrown passes.
Bruscini had a 22 yard punt to the 50 yard line in the 2nd quarter. Just hurt field position after Iowa had to punt again. If he hits the deep ball we wouldn't be reliant on the fg. And we didn't muff a punt.

Not sure if that's the muffed punt he's talking about...
Sadly he never lived up to they hypeBuchini shanked 2 straight
But I’m guessing the muffed punt he’s talking about was the actual muffed punt that gave them their first points from the 4 yard line
He was good when the pressure was offSadly he never lived up to they hype
Late game strategy is not Matt's forte. A 2-10 record says so.Another disappointment is we were running it at will on that drive. Make a first down on a run then pass 3 times in a row and punt. Could have run to kick a field goal til time ran out.
