The Missouri Valley Conference selects Valparaiso to become the 10th member of the league to replace departing Wichita State. Omaha was a possible candidate for the Valley.
Valpo is currently a member of the Horizon League.
The Missouri Valley will remain at 10 schools, with no desire to move to 12. The MVC is the second-oldest continually active conference in college athletics, behind only the Big Ten.
