Missouri, like Nebraska, has fallen on hard times

Annnnndddd, Purdue looks like they are poised to beat us by about 4 touchdowns right now. Their new HC has them playing much better three games in. I'm sure Riley's "experience" will pay off eventually.
Sad, isn't it? I didn't know jack about Mike Riley when he was hired. I really want him to do well, but I wasn't impressed with the hire, and I'm even less impressed today. Good guy, great ambassador for any school, but just a .500 type coach.

Problem is, who really wants to take this job that's any good?

Actually it is the same old Tigers, 0 conference titles since 1969. How a school with 0 FBS Competition in state, in a state that has St. Louis and Kansas City, cannot manage 1 conference title in 48 years is pathetic.
The only reason that we thought that Missouri ever looked good is because they started beating us during the Solich, Callahan, Pelini eras, and may still be doing so today if we were in the same conference.

Amazing also how the old man at K-State came out of retirement and they became a Top-25 team again. Some guys just know how to win, while others like Riley have made a habit of losing.

Their circumstance of being the only major college football program in a state with 6 million with the minimal results (few shinning moments) they have achieved decade after decade is unbelievable (thirteen straight losing seasons at one point from the 80's into the 90's.). Forty years ago it was popular in the sports press to refer to Missouri as a 'sleeping giant' given their advantage. No one says that anymore. It's become a coma !! The Kansas City Star had an article regarding their recent two year in a row dramatic drop in enrollment. The article stated that this fall, due to the racial farce during the fall of 2015, there are 35 to 37 percent fewer students on campus then there were during the fall of 2015. The SEC buzz is over. Around KC it is common to hear MU alums say how much they miss the old Big 8. Having said that, they have put together one hell of a basketball recruiting class that is on campus for this season.

At KU they refer to Snyder as 'the evil wizzard of the plains' This past winter he was at KU Med Center for throat cancer treatments. The dude is 77 yrs. old !! Tonight he is coaching the 18th ranked team in the nation. A school from Manhattan, Kansas. Diablo !!!
