Minnesota game

I was planning on heading to the Minnesota game with a few of my old high school buddies. We are now in our 30's. Looking for recommendations on where to stay? Not sure if we should look near the stadium or downtown. Honestly not even sure if the stadium is downtown. Amy info is appreciated. Thanks.
