Nebraska offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf and running backs coach Reggie Davis met with Chula Vista (Calif.) Mater Dei Catholic running back CJ Verdell tonight.

The Oregon RB commit is planning to finalize his decision on signing day. I believe the Huskers are still very much in the picture here. Definitely a player to keep an eye on over the next eight day leading up to NSD.

Nebraska is scheduled to conduct an in-home visit with the parents of Pasadena (Calif.) Muir 4-star cornerback Elijah Blades this evening.

As I reported in yesterday's Tunnel Talk, Blades is in Orlando for the International Bowl, but the Huskers will be able to do the in-home with his parents. NU cornerbacks coach Donte Williams is the coach scheduled to do the in-home according to Blades.

I was able to exchange some texts with four-star receiver Mike Harley and he said Nebraska was "too late" in recruiting him and he will not be taking an official to Lincoln before signing day. Instead, he will be officially visiting UCLA this weekend for his last trip.

I've been able to speak with Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pines ATH Tony Wallace today and he tells me that he will be taking his official visit to Nebraska this weekend.

The current Arizona commit had tweeted the other day that he was sticking with his decision to sign with the Wildcats and that he would not be taking any further trips. However, he has since deleted that tweet and, with the upcoming trip to Lincoln this weekend, appears to be open to ending up at NU.

So far NU will host Tyjon Lindsey and Michael Onyemaobi in addition to Wallace this weekend.
