Michigan State -4.5

I've got a sneaking suspicion that we win too. At least down to the last possession and the old lady will be rocking once again. Time will tell, but I could see Michigan State looking past the corn and Nebraska putting forth a great effort, maybe a little magic (trick play or two) and crazy things happen. Hell, Purdue just knocked off Nebraska!

What kind of great effort are you talking about? Like the one against Illinois? Or maybe Purdue? Great effort and this Nebraska team don't go together.

i assure you that vegas was not built by anything having to do with sports betting.

MSU is ranked and i bet our boys remember last year lossing only because our WR dropped the touchdown winning catch. MSU will get our best this weekend and this isbone area where Riley has shown he can pull off, games against ranked teams.

Yes we can lose this game but we can also win this game. If Tommys back and healthy we can pull this game off, if he doesnt play, i bet we get beat bad. Remember MSU barely best Rutgers and Purdue. If these 2 teams can hang almost 30 or more points on them, if we have Tommy i bet we put 40 plus on them. We just need our defense ti show up in some way.

Nebraska really isn't worse than Purdue. If they were to play this Saturday at Purdue, we'd still be favored.

I hope you only post like this when you're hungover and last night was an amazing rager for you. If not, I fear for everyone you come into contact with on a daily basis. Good luck to you. You're going to need it.

PS What would you like to bet regarding us putting up 40+ on MSU?

And Nebraska is worse than Purdue... use some common sense at least.

How about make some sense??? How is Nebraska worse than Purdue...because we lost? Way to overreact. I'm pissed we lost but this team is not playing to its potential. Sloppy maybe but worse as a team no way! When you give a team 28 points in turnovers and close a 100 yards in penalites you are probably going to lose a game.

We put more points on Purdue than MSU did, think about that. You totally missed the point bud.

40 points WOW! The most points MSU has given up this year is Oregon 28pts and Indy 26pts. Oregon is ranked #12 in total offense and Indy is #27. I guess its possible with our shaky secondary...but 2 things make it improbable is MSU's strength in TO margin (#6 in country) and Time of Possession (top 15).

You're talking about the team that just had 50+ points hung on it by PURDUE????

Vegas doesn't set the line based on fan reaction/emotion.

NU may well be boat raced, but its all business for them, not about "55 points to Purdue Riley suxorz!!!"

Yes- Nebraska has had a bad year - but it's not like your team is horrible.

Here's the only thing you need to know. The wild card in sports is that the obvious underdog almost ALWAYS plays out of their mind to the obvious superior team. Duke BB - always gets everyone's best shot. Fact of life in sports -so yes - Nebraska has a chance.

Do you actually think I would bet on a team that gave up double nickels to PURDUE???
No.

I never bet against Nebraska because if I were and I end up being correct, I feel very dirty betting against my team. If I bet against Nebraska and they do come away with a win, great on the win, but I lost money which I hate.

I'll either;
1) bet on Nebraska. or
2) stay away from the game because I don't want to bet against my team nor do I want to lose money (if Nebraska were to win).

If you're putting money on MSU and you're a Husker fan, do you now root for or against Nebraska? Either answer is dumb imo.

I think the Huskers rally and shock Sparty 31-28. One thing I have always respected about Nebraska Football is they never quit. Get TA back healthy by Saturday and you have a punchers chance.

I view sports betting as an aside from my fandom. If the numbers say bet against em, then I bet against em. It doesn't change who I root for. I bet against the Cubs in game 4 last week. Didn't change one iota who I was rooting for.

Fair enough. To each his own and that's cool.

For me I can't bet against the Huskers, root for them and then be okay with losing money. Personally I'd rather just stay away if I dont think they'll cover.

I have always had a gambling rule. Never bet your team or teams you hate. Too much emotion in those bets, so it is better to leave them alone.

Also agree with your two points.

You're breaking the #2 rule of betting which is "don't let emotion get involved." #1 Rule is don't lose.

Haha, very true. I can't help it, my emotions get involved every time (for better or worse) when it comes to the Huskers.

Here are players who played big roles vs. Michigan State, but barely played or didn't play at all vs Purdue due to injury:

- Tommy Armstrong Jr.
- Alonzo Moore
- Mike Rose Ivey
- Chris Weber
- Kevin Williams
- Nick Gates
- Byerson Cockrell
- Jonathan Rose
- Zach Sterup at RG.

These players also had another week to get a little healthier:

- Banderas
- Kevin Maurice
- Freedom - although only about 75% right now.

Oh and there wasnt a walk on QB making his first career start.

If anyone thinks the same team on the field vs. Purdue was the same unit out there vs. Michigan State, they're wrong.

I believe Vegas took this into account, along with Nebraska at home at night.

Now if Nebraska can just avoid the letdown vs Rutgers and maintain health, they will give Iowa some serious fits.
