Metallica PBA September 6th

I kind of wanted to go catch the Wichita show but I have a bit of a problem with buying tickets over a year in advance. Presale starts this week.

I'll wait a few years and catch them at the Stir

1. A fan of their early stuff. When they sold out I checked out.
2. Seen them live in 1988. Were kind of a lame show back then.
3. Hetfield has lost his voice.
4. Got tons of boots of shows they attempt to block their fans getting access to. Lars can suck it.

You say they sold out, whatever.. they introduced metal music to a ton of people who would otherwise never listen to it. Their music after 1988 was just as good if not better than before. Just because more people like it doesn't mean it sucks.

People get pissed about the Napster thing, but guess what? They were right. Once illegal downloading took off and people no longer buying CD's, music has gone to shit for the last 15 years. Rock music has all but died in that time. Metallica is one of the greatest bands of all time. To me, they are the greatest. Can't wait for September 6th.

One of the best live shows of any genre. Wear earplugs even if you can handle it... They are definitely not shy about noise

Like all bands they can be a bit repetitive if you've seen them more than once... but if you're going to see a metal band they're in the top five to see at least once.

Not a cheap ticket though.

(My current favorite in metal is sabaton... fwiw... Swedish band that sings about military history around the world and does it respectfully... kinda like old viking bards except metal. .. very unique group)

It sucks because it sucks. It has nothing do with file sharing. Even if you could control copyrighted releases, the band should have supported fan's sharing bootlegs of their shows. As for file sharing ruining music... you can blame the music industry and the fact that things change. That and you're getting old (or are old).
