McCord out?

Everyone keeps thinking McCord was afraid of DR is funny. I believe his visit was more for NIL than seeing campus. I think word probably got out how much we offered DR and McCord up’d his price. We couldn’t afford it so we walked. Rather throw more at an RB than a 2nd QB. McCord will never be as good as DR. Don’t get me wrong, would have loved to have him but DR could be our Julio Jones.
Pure speculation.

One Qb wanted the chance to compete and the other wanted a guarantee he was the starter! That is what happened. Rhule would not give that guarantee!

If the news ended up being true I was going to lay off and give Rhule a bit of respect, but people like this you have to watch like a hawk. They have a veneer of success but no real accomplishments.
You would feel better if you stopped looking in the mirror

Both QBs demanded to be starters and Rhule made his pick.
I don't believe that. McCord may have demanded to start but I seriously doubt Rhule would make a promise to an unproven freshman. At the end of the day, I think McCord wants to make bank while showcasing himself for the NFL. Taking a chance on sitting behind the #1 qb recruit probably wasn't super attractive.

Yeah, agree. Promising a HS kid a starting position when he hasn't even taken a CF snap just doesn't make sense and could backfire bigtime.

More likely that Raiola wanted a chance to earn the starting job, and that made McCord bail because he didn’t want to have to deal with fans clamoring for Raiola to replace him every time he throws a pick or if the offense looks sluggish.

I don't even know it was the fans. I just think he's figures if he wanted to compete for a job he could have stayed at OSO, unless they pulled his NIL.
