MBB: Huskers hosting Georgetown transfer this weekend.

Maybe he got sick of beating Creighton?

If he comes to NU, wonder where he'll go after that?

He had an impressive offer list as a recruit. I sure be happy if we got him.

6-8 215 as a high schooler. I wonder how big he is now. Listed at 230 on their last year's roster. Played 33 games as a true freshman and only 7 games this past year. 4 star power forward from Chicago. A redshirt year to get bigger and stronger and work on his game. Too bad he isn't a grad transfer. We could use him right away.

Certainly looks like a nice addition. Sounds like a nice post player who can do a bit of everything. I'll take a former top 100 transfer every year to join this program. All of these guys have seemed to benefit from sitting out a year at least initially in their first year back playing. Not sure why he didn't get more of an opportunity at Georgetown. Maybe he wasn't a fit for the Princeton offense.

Paul looked like he was going to be s very good player for Georgetown but had hip injury that cost him last season. Appears healthy but looks like no room for him with the Hoyas now. Good incoming recruits, juco transfer and a transfer from Bob Morris. Plus Hoyas to be more uptempo this year per reports which doesn't fit Paul's skill set.

Smart player, good passer, decent shooter. Was a good fit for Princeton style at slower tempo. But again, word is Georgetown moving away from that or at least playing much faster even if keeping the principles of Princeton offense.

Doesn't make much sense to me from the outside. He's visiting Oregon; Dana Altman isn't going to waste his time with someone that doesn't fit an uptempo style. They're a top 50 scoring offense with a crazy tempo.

Big bodies are hard to find and at times you need a guy that can come in and bang in the paint no matter how fast you play offense. He would have a limited role offensively for Oregon. Let's hope our proximity to really cheap airfares out of Omaha to his hometown of Chicago helps our cause. Oregon will be a tough competitor for his service.

If we land White I'm guessing that will mean Fuller will play his last year elsewhere as we will be pretty stocked at the forward position. Ideally this next class we sign another Center and a backup point.

He may have a limited offensive role, but I can't agree with your bang in the paint comment when discussing Oregon under Altman.

He never developed as a Hoya. JT3 has also struggled of late with his system. Going further and further away from his Princeton principled offense. Still ensuring that everyone can pass and be involved, but trying to go more up tempo and keep the backdoor cuts and bigman passing as a big part of the offense. Either way, Paul is just too far down the depth chart and they have recruited well. If he wants PT, Nebraska would be a good place to land.

If he wants PT, UNL is a good place for him to land for sure. He may help maintain UNL's current level. But, him coming here is not going to transform UNL into a Big X contender by any means - unless he undergoes extraordinary development in his year off.

I thought he was visiting Oregon before he made a decision. Considering they are playing in Spain and have been there all week, he is either not meeting the team and coaches or his trip is not this week.

Lee B had an article the other day and mentioned in it that White was visiting Oregon in the next two days. I assume that's where people are getting the Oregon visit this week.

Awesome,

Well either Lee is wrong or White didn't tell Oregon he was visiting.

As I said, considering the Oregon basketball staff and players are in Spain. It would be sort of like a surprise visit to the relatives and there's a note on the door that they went on vacation.

Not arguing against that, just sharing where people may have got the idea that White was visiting Oregon this week.

I hear ya. I was just trying to imply it might be good news if he visited there this week. I would imagine that wouldn't rank very high on the excitement meter.

Maybe Rothstein is where Lee B got the info? Others responded to the below tweet mentioning Oregon is in Spain but Rothstein didn't respond, at least that I could tell.

Rosenthal from the LJS said the Oregon visit is this week. Interesting stuff, good catch.
