His case, or this thread?A good lawyer could delay it 4 years.
Well we should know at least one bit of news Monday - that is whether or not Washington will be at Spring Practice.
If this is true, then why hasn’t he gone back to California yet? I would think he would want to resolve this as quickly as possible. He will not be participating in spring football till this is resolved when ever that will be..

And extend this thread 4 years ...A good lawyer could delay it 4 years.
Frost mentioned the other night that he’s hoping the process moves along quickly and there is clarity to the situation soon.If this is true, then why hasn’t he gone back to California yet? I would think he would want to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Because that all depends on the dates set by the court as well as his own selected time negotiated through his lawyer. The last I heard was he was leaving in the next week or so (and that was over a week ago), so I assume he's either already there or leaving soon.
And yeah, I agree. He's a good player, but I don't imagine he'll take a snap for us unless this is settled in a way that gets him off most of the hook.
Where did you hear that?He will not be participating in spring football till this is resolved when ever that will be..
The fact that Mo hasnt been suspended yet should tell us a lot. No new info is going to come out for at least a year, so its pretty likely that he will play this year. It would seem odd if any part of this process would change the approach that Frost is taking unless some new info or a conviction actually happens.
That’s actually what I’m thinking too. It would be like suspending him for nothing. You can’t punish someone for something that could disappear, get beat or get dropped (I’m talking the best case).
This is an out of bounds comment!Do you guys think she likes to do it? I think she might.
Yep! And that's smart; NU (and I presume most universities, at least the public ones) have policies that govern how these things work; in this case, these are events that occurred before he was even at the University, so the University punishing him doesn't make much sense. Other than being convicted of a crime and going to jail, I imagine the only thing that could happen is he could be dismissed from the team, but that is a call for Coach Frost to make.
Many institutions also are reluctant to punish beyond their purview for fear of being sued by or losing employees; that UNL professor that just got popped for the googly-eyes/Fartenberry posters, for example, is being punished by the legal system, not the university, because the University has a policy of not instituting punishments "in addition to" those doled out by the legal system for their faculty (I read up on it when I was reading about her story). So, long story short, if their policies for students are similar, it would seem a lot depends on what happens with Washington's case in California.
Exactly, my guess is they will see how it ends up and what he gets charged with. Again, if he gets a misdemeanor (fine or probation) he’s not going anywhere but back to our starting RB. Now if he gets a felony and all that mess, then we could see him getting kicked off. Like you said, this was an incident that happened before he got here. It’s not like this happened this past season while playing for us. Still lost why they waited almost a full year later to do anything. Still lost on that. They must not of had a very good case or much to go off of and had to pull the trigger on a charge or let it drop.
They were notified of “an issue”, but was it specified what that issue was?The University was first notified in Sept. I believe.
Agree, the is a classic hit them with the max charge to plead deal down. I can see the Child porn being dropped if he pleads guilty to the misdemeanor of revenge porn. He will get probation and probably a one game suspension from the team. Nothing more will come of it. As it should be.I feel like this case is going to end up as almost nothing when it is all said and done.
I believe they were notified of an issue in Sept. Were not told what it involved. I am assume Frost went to Washington and asked him what was going on. Depends on what he told Frost. If he lied to Frost that would be another team disciplinary issue in it self. The University was first notified in Sept. I believe.
The child porn charge is getting dropped for sure.Agree, the is a classic hit them with the max charge to plead deal down.
