Well if Whisky puts 30 on you….its probably time for some fresh ideas on defense
LSU not messing around - hopefully we see that if this O doesn't greatly improve.

That's on Kelly. It's always fun to see bowl teams that are unmotivated and completely checked out due to feeling that they have nothing to play for.

bowl game actually lowered their average points allowed to P5 teams.
The real trick, will be when the new Defensive coaches gets hired. Is if one of them "Just" happens to be related to one of the top High School Recruits in the country.

And I'm sure their new DC will tout a more aggressive, fast, downhill, multiple scheme that punishes opposing offenses. That's what they always say...

Yep. LSU probably in the title game if they had a normal LSU defense. Only thing holding them back. I know it is just year 1, but I wish Rhule would have felt the same and either demoted Satt or made a change.
You also have to give Satt a chance with a legitimate Qb which we didn’t have.plus I don’t think Satt will be QB anymore.
Thought the same thing at first. But, then I had a more logical thought. By Kelly doing this, it probably means he must not really be headed to Michigan. Why go through the headache if you think you're leaving anyway? Just ride it out until after the NFL regular season and leave LSU's problems to someone else. I'd say this shows he's likely planning to stay at LSU.

Yep and each one of those schools, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss (now, not before), Tenn and so on...they all see the end of the Saban era coming and coming fast (like me, in bed), everyone wants to make sure they are all lined up and ready to go.
They get it, you have to spend to win and winning brings in more money.
This is how you compete and have standards in 2024. People around here think if you hold people accountable no one will want to work here in the future. It's such a loser mentality.
During the game fans want everyone fired...come the end of the season fans get all worried that losing a coach will set the program back 10 years.
Hold people accountable? We fired a coach who won 9 games for what, 7 years? They give bonuses for that at Iowa. We strive for more.
He was there for a previous coach and before the NIL craziness started...it was a whole different era.
You have a really loose definition of era. Some people probably probably thought you were talking about leather helmets and no forward pass. Turns out you were just talking about the fall of 2021. Lol.
