and outside of Frost, Kelly, or a big name coach, it's getting more depressing. To think TO passed over Patterson for pelini is just depressing.

Things will get better.
No to chip Kelly, btw.
There's others out there. Riley is so bad it's hard to really comprehend.
I think the next coach proves that.

Before that Pedy thinking he had Wannsdt then it back fires and he has to settle on Callahan who beat Wannsdt at Pitt twice in both ugly games... Would have rather took a chance on Solich another 4 years.

Disappointing Osborne had his mind made up more than passing him over.

Nah. In 1960, we finished 4-6 and beat both Texas and Oklahoma.

1958? Nah. We beat Penn State and ranked Pitt in a 3-7 campaign.

I'm going with 1957, when we beat K-State (the Illinois of the Big 8) for our only victory.

1961 was much worse than 1960 in the first place only beat North Dakota, K-State and Iowa State finished 3-6-1.

Bottom line Jennings first year 1957 and his last year in 1961 is where this program has slowly gone back to the dark days of Nebraska football the last 3 years.

Good point, and that zero first-down game against Colorado in 1961 was the we-gotta-rid-of-this-guy moment.
