Looking forward to the day when Sean E. is gone

However, more and more, it looks like the program's success was sabotaged in lieu of having someone easier to work with for the administration. Under a certain lens, this could be viewed as a completely selfish act from the top leadership, tired of dealing with a coach and with little regard to the athletes involved, who then subsequently retires. That fart in the elevator belongs to Harvey.
.

What success was sabotaged? It's not like Pelini had us rolling. We all saw what Pelini brought to Nebraska, 4 loss seasons, blowouts and meltdowns and it was trending in the wrong direction, getting worse not better. Heck we are already back to 9-4 with ugly blowout losses, so what was sabotaged?

SE hired a mediocre nice coach who has never won a championship at any level. (Canada does not count) He brought his friends with him from Oregon St that in my opinion are average coaches. You get what you pay for. If MR does not turn this around in a few years both SE and MR will not be here. I hope MR can at least win the Big 10 West but after the way we played at the end of this year and the way recruiting is going I am not sure MR can turn this around.

Yep, anyone else that doesn't at least acknowledge this as a possibility has their head buried in the sand.

Yah, SE will be in Wisky when Barry retires.

I'm sure he's quaking in his boots at ominous implications made by anonymous posters on the free board.

So far Pelini was a better hire than Riley. Miles did make the tournament and has his team playing solid this year. I think Erstad was the weakest hire since the BIG baseball conference isn't usually very strong. We should probably be better. Riley isn't going to recruit any better than Pelini and his coaching staff is no better. We will probably be making a coaching change in two years. Williams looks like she is in way over her head. Yori was a very good coach. It will be for the best if Eichorst doesn't have a chance to hire anymore coaches.

Sure he was, that's why no FBS will even touch him.

Admitting it as a possibility is far different than the way your ilk has repeatedly presented it. Look around... you and your buddies are not saying this is a possibility... you and your buddies are saying this is fact.

That is why people push back... it's too early to call this a fact. The coaches deserve time to prove what the reality is, not have message board posters tell us what reality is.

I can't speak for your/mine/others ilk, but there should be a pragmatic middle ground (which is where I'm at) where all can agree MR may not work out after 5 years. The vocal fringe minorities on both sides shouldn't be coddled and those in the majority should denounce both.

SE on the other hand, may not deserve the 5 years MR needs.

Maybe that's a bad choice of words on my part. I think less focus was placed on winning and more focus was placed on a personality that was easy to get along with from the administrations standpoint. Meaning whatever success we were having was a secondary factor and not a primary one.
