Check here for live updates from Nebraska's weekly press conference this afternoon here at Memorial Stadium.
Head coach Mike Riley is scheduled to meet with media around 11:30 a.m.
***Riley is now up.
***Riley said the Wisconsin loss "I suppose you could say was a great football game", especially with the play on defense and special teams by both teams. Looking back, though, there were a lot of missed opportunities that was "somewhat haunting".
***Riley said the offense has a lot of work to do to gain rhythm. He said the running game has to be better on first and second down and NU needs to be more decisive in the passing game.
***Highlight players from Wisconsin: Stanley Morgan, Terrell Newby, Jordan Westerkamp, Josh Banderas, Michael Rose-Ivey, Joshua Kalu, Kevin Maurice, Mick Stoltenberg, Nate Gerry, Aaron Williams, Chris Weber, Brad Simpson, Boaz Joseph, and Drew Brown.
***Riley said there really isn't a glaring weakness on Ohio State's lineup, saying "it will be a big chore for us. We're going to have to play a complete ball game."
***Riley said they "have high hopes" for Dedrick Young, who suffered an elbow injury. Riley said he hopes Young will be able to play at OSU.
***Rikey said Tanner Farmer is out with an ankle injury.
***Riley said Cethan Carter is "on his way back", but he's not sure about the tight end's status for OSU. Riley said they would start looking at Carter tomorrow and see where he is.
***Riley said Tommy Armstrong "battled like crazy" against a Wisconsin defense that "can be pretty overwhelming at times." He said Armstrong made a lot of plays on Saturday night, but he and the entire offense do need to elevate their play going forward.
***Riley said he'd like to see more screen passes incorporated into the game plan. They ran one screen vs UW and it was fairly successful. In retrospect he said they should have gone to the play more.
***Riley said the stakes will continue to be raised every week in the West Division. He likes where they are with the lead for first place, but it's going to be a long road to finish it out. He said Wisconsin, Northwestern and Minnesota are all "playing their best ball" right now, so all it takes is one slip up and "you lose very valuable ground."
***Riley said on the first offensive play of OT Armstrong had the option to keep it or hand it off, and he gave it to Newby for a minimal gain. Riley said Armstrong should have kept it in retrospect because it looked like a big play was there.
***Riley compared how Ohio State has set the bar in the Big Ten to how USC set the bar in the Pac-12 a few years ago.
***Riley said Corey Whitaker did a great job filling in for Farmer last week and will be the No. 1 right guard vs. OSU.
***Riley said the way Wisconsin was keeping its defensive line back to block passing lanes was nothing new for Saturday's game, as they've been doing that all season. He said that wasn't a surprise and NU was expecting them to do that.
***Riley said Ohio State's J.T. Barrett was "really good all around", so Nebraska will have to have a good plan to account for him in a variety of ways. He said NU might utilize a spy on Barrett on certain plays.
***Riley said Nebraska only dropping two spots in the AP poll this week was due to people getting some confirmation about ho good NU actually was. That game showed more people that they belonged.
***That's all for Riley.
***After his interview, Riley was asked if he sent in the play where Jordan Westerkamp appeared to be interfered with, and he said he hadn't. However, he said it was definitely a penalty.
***Trey Foster is now up.
***Foster said he thinks Nebraska is going to go into Ohio State "mad instead of sad", saying they would use that game as motivation to show they can play with anyone in the Big Ten. "Nobody's dream has been crushed."
***Foster said he hopes to be able to say hello to former NU offensive coordinator Tim Beck, and he was able to say hello to Ross Els before the Purdue game.
***Foster said Carter has been eying the Ohio State game for his return since the day he got hurt, and he was "hungry" to get back out there.
***That's all for Foster.
***Jordan Westerkamp is up.
***Westerkamp said his ankle hurt more than his back after the game, but he said he'd be fine getting back to work this week.
***Westerkamp said there has definitely been a difference between the mood in the locker room following this loss compared to losses last year. He said hates losing, but they know there were a lot of positives from the Wisconsin game.
***Westerkamp said Ohio State was "kind of a different animal" with how good they've been for so long, but said the Buckeyes were definitely "beatable". He said teams have been able to have success on OSU this year, which gives them confidence.
***Westerkamp said the third down play in OT was a tough call to make for the refs, and it doesn't matter what he thinks. Obviously he wishes there was a flag, and he thinks he would have gotten to the ball had he not been impeded.
***That's all for Westy.
***Carlos Davis is now up.
***Davis said he actually dislocated his shoulder during the UW game. It popped back into place when he hit the ground, and he only had to miss one play because of it.
***Davis said he thinks he's getting better every week and learning a lot as the season goes on.
***Davis said containing Barrett would be big this week, especially the designed QB draws.
***Davis said Kevin Maurice has been a big role model for him and he's always trying to learn from the senior every day.
***That's all for Davis.
That wraps up the up front portion of today's press conference. We'll have much more up shortly.
