Talking about Harbaugh being on the "hot seat" for building very high expectations and not living up to them. aka....they think another "L" vs tOSU is likely (not to mention Wisky still on the schedule). They don't think he is on the hot seat - because who can you get that would be better??

In that discussion they brought up other hot seat jobs and who the "next guy" could be...and without mentioning names....(nod nod wink wink) essentially said the Nebraska job was going to Frost. Shhhhhhh - don't tell Scott.

Everything lines up perfectly for Frost to take over here. I think that's why it's so easy to say it's his job to lose. But in reality none of us know. He may very well not want to leave UCF, no matter what we want to think. Who knows.

Everything lines up perfectly for Frost to take over here. I think that's why it's so easy to say it's his job to lose. But in reality none of us know. He may very well not want to leave UCF, no matter what we want to think. Who knows.

And we very well may aim higher. Not a done deal by any means.

PSU is just coming off of crippling sanctions for crying out loud and look at how well they are playing in years three and four of the Franklin era. They all agree that Harbaugh recruits well, but most of them think he is very overrated as a developer of talent and as a game coach. lol. Just two years ago he was the Messiah. If Hardcase looses to tOSU this year and next year...I think there will be some serious push to get him out (maybe jumps back to NFL on his own). Too expensive to be slightly better than Brady Hoke.

All our ills can be cured by the right coach - apparently we really suck at hiring one. Hopefully hiring Moos and no Harvey = getting a real head football coach - finally.

I agree 100%. What Franklin did when he got here was recruit like a bat out of hell, selling recruits on immediate playing time. It also doesn't hurt that he is in a fertile recruiting area, whereas we are not. Still... we should be able to recruit that well too.

Every Michigan fan I know, and I am surrounded by many, expected this to be a down year. With that said, this has been disappointing. But, I think next year nobody talks about this

This is why hear high salaries are hurting the game. That and social media.

High salaries result in unreasonable expectations. “He did it so why doesn’t our guy?” But note: there are 25 teams that expect championships.

Social media gives a voice to people who don’t really deserve a voice. Back in the day, an AD and select few held the fate of a coach in their hands. Now it’s every Tom(s wife), Dick and Harry who can type their keyboard as if they are some expert on development.

Harbaugh really has 1 job at Michigan, and that is to beat OSU. The seat is always going to be hot until he does that. The funny thing is comparing him to Hoke. I just don't see the steady decline like Hoke had. Yes, the records are comparable now, but this is where Hoke started bombing. I just don't see it with Harbaugh. He is going to win 9-10 games again this year probably, and his team is going to be pretty good next year. He is a QB away from being really good.

It’s sorta like that nosy neighbor who cares a lot about how you live your life. And that neighbor observes you all the time so he or she has a strong opinion about it. But guess what? She or he doesn’t know what’s going on behind closed doors but she doesn’t care.

Unfortunately our love of the Huskers is sometimes overcome by our love of saying "I told you so", at least among myself and many others. Something we should all try to get better at.

I do believe that Harbaugh is a better coach than Brady Hoke, but at the same time Harbaugh inherited a better situation than Hoke, Hoke had some good recruiting classes but had a hard time getting them to reach their potential.

Michigan was loaded with talent that Hoke had recruited. Recruiting wasn't Hoke's problem and Jimmie is running out of Hoke recruits. It just drives home how important the QB is to your success and Penn State has a great one.

Man I wish this was true... but honestly, Husker fans would still bitch if Frost were hired and won 5 championships in a row in his first five years because there is always something that could have been done better "the Nebraska Way", especially if he yelled at players on camera, passed the ball for a TD on 3rd and 2, won in a shootout (crappy D), handed out blackshirts too late or too early, kept an assistant that the fans just knew sucked or didn't like, wore a black hoodie during a blackout home game, etc etc etc...

Our fanbase is like every other fanbase... filled with a bunch of high expectations and fans that need something to bitch about. If we didn't have something to bitch about, we would bitch about not having something to bitch about!
