I wouldn't look at Nwaneri as a Jack LB. I see him as strictly an edge.Nwaneri and McCullough are definitely Jack LBs coming in. MaGahee increasingly split back up reps with PWill at Jack this season. Is MaGahee a fit for other OLB spot?
Depends what you call a "Jack". I always thought it was a Jack of all trades type of role. McCullough can play that. Rover sounds almost like the same thing as jack, but I know some don't view it that way. Gifford, at times, played the role of being a deep safety and he struggled back there because of a lack of speed. I would hope that they wouldn't line up McCullough 20 yards downfield with whatever role he takes.mcCullough likely isn't edge/Jack, but replacing Gifford at rover
Jack is more edge rusher type. Rover is more the floating nickel big lb body safety typeDepends what you call a "Jack". I always thought it was a Jack of all trades type of role. Then who's rover? Need better than Gifford was lolI've always been a fan of getting the most talented players on the field, and positions are flexible. I'd move McGahee to ILB, Nwaneri to DE, and McCullough to Jack.

Anything is a variation of the 335Are we for sure going to run a 3-3-5? I saw rumors of 3-4 floating out there.
I made a post last week that we still need a few LBs. Not sure McGahee can run well enough in space. Dasan can play LB or Rover.
In McCullughs freshman year at IU, he played Bull, comparable to our Jack. He played as a big safety at OU - the Cheetah - comparable to Gifford at Rover. Could be the replace for Buddha Wright.I don’t think McCullough is a JACK. He will either be a smaller ILB ( Bullock) or a ROVER (Gifford).
I also think we could see Nwaneri inside as a hand on the ground DE (Butler).
