My boy is 16 getting ready to turn 17 and is a baseball player on a team that travels. A few of the young men including my boy I have taken to Lincoln to football games so they have seen Lincoln and the Nebraska campus. The parents of these kids said their son couldn't stop talking about how awesome it was in Lincoln and how they loved the University of Nebraska Campus and Lincoln when they returned.
So anyway, all these kids had a tournament in Norman, Oklahoma a week ago. We happened to have a three hour wait until the semi final game so I decided to take my boy and handful of his team mates down to the Oklahoma campus.
Here is what the kids had to say. Oklahoma has a big campus but I like Nebraska's stadium better. It's cooler. It's way nicer. The Nebraska campus is a lot better. One kid said the campus is way cooler, I like how its next to everything, next to downtown. Oklahoma is just kind of plain.
That is when my kid said, dad, when are we going to a Nebraska game.....
