Dannen needs to hear from us. Abysmally bad counterfeit of Nebraska football. Unacceptable.

Only thing AD is concerned about is cash flow. That’s his job. The fans spoil the AD department they always buy tickets, make donations, buy merchandise no matter what. Whining about losing won’t matter to him.

I dont think so.

Disagree with our new AD. Pretty sure he wants to win.

Game was vomit inducing. No nice way to say it. Maybe I'm just drunk and being even more negative than usual but there's a real possibility we finish 5-7 if we couldn't get it done today. Between this game and spending the afternoon with a bunch of extremely depressed Penn State fans I'm ready to take up alcoholism as a new career path Sick

This is no longer making me feel any better, because the university completely screws up new coaching opportunities with bad coach after bad coach. Another ten years of no conference championships and we will have the same number of years with zero conference championship wins as the Devaney/ Osborne run. We are pretty much Minnesota right now, but that will be the official crowning at that point.

Everyone has their breaking point. Today was mine. Finally fed up with this all talk, no action, do NOTHING program.

I liked Rhule, but this is bs. You can’t beat UCLA at home with their first year coach who can barely string two sentences together? GTFO

Yeah. I get so sick and tired of hearing we are better than all these no-tradition programs that routinely 1) beat us 2) go to bowl games. Winning in this conference is a matter of running the damn ball and forcing the opposition to man up and stop you. Other schools just do that and don't care about looking cute.

Rhule and Foster are complete opposites with respect to speaking ability. That's for sure.

Venables fired his OC mid-season. Why? Because people at other schools demand change when they see a problem. NU actually got better in 2022 when they fired Frost and then the DC. You don't have to ride a losing scheme into the ground. You can actually try something different.

I think it has moved past a possibility, is neck and neck with probable and gaining on a certainty…

I think the biggest thing that is wrong with Husker football is the impatience and angst around the program. These kids feel the pressure and it brings out the worst in them, collectively. This team is still 5-4 and seemingly every realistic goal that they should have is still out there. But at this point, it doesn't seem likely. The fans have had 15 years of this crap and lost their patience two coaching staffs back. It's a tough situation and this team is not handling it well.

Side note- They need a new OC and special teams coach but that's not the biggest problem in my opinion because that's an easier fix.

I reached my breaking point with Satterfield. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why that guy won't use more pre-snap motion. And holy cow, what's wrong with running some bunch sets if you're seeing a lot of man to man and having trouble with pass protection? Bunch up three guys and free up someone across the middle for a short pass. That's almost unstoppable until you make the defense adjust.

And yes, the guy weirdly thinks every situation is a passing down.

I want to believe we can win at USC but the game is at USC and they are a good team no matter the recent string of losses. Wisconsin has gotten better as the year has gone along and they are a solid team. Iowa is just a typical Iowa team. One that we typically lose to. So yeah, I'm debating even whether to watch any of the remaining games.

You are preaching to the choir. He's just a bad OC. Much like Cosgrove was a bad DC. And Frost was a bad HC. I can't stand being frustrated by an anemic offense every week, and the major cause of it is play-calling.

Apparently he knows better than to hire teenagers with no experience as position coaches no matter how much potential he thinks they may have

Most programs have something to hang their hat on. We have no identity.

USC hangs around every game. That is bad news for a team like us.

If talk were wins, we’d have a few more national championships since 2018, no doubt about it. Frost just sounded dumber when he did it.

Agree with everything you said. At the very least, Satt HAS to go. Should have fired for gross incompetence the moment he said that his goal was between 4 yards 6 yards per play.

If Rhule doesn’t get rid of the guy, then it’s pretty clear that he’s going to put his buddies above the players, the fans, and the program. Just like Frost. Just like Callahan. At that point, why should I believe anything else he has to say?

You can NOT possibly look at all the coaching candidates available and tell us with a straight face that Marcus Satterfield gives us the best chance to win. Can’t do it. That’s as disingenuous as saying that after carefully considering all the applicants, you've determined that Brian Ferentz is the best man for the job.

The breaking point comes much faster for me with each new staff. With Pelini it took me until Gordon’s 408 yards before I said to myself it’s always going to be this way- get blown out in big games. Indiana was very embarrassing game but hey they just might get into the playoffs. So today was my breaking point as well. Rhule can stop with the press conferences for all I care. Last week he claims he saw a championship mindset. He’s just doing his part to help the athletic department scam the fans. The ADs job is to make sure they keep raking in the $. I don’t believe for 1 second if anyone there cares how well the team does. Tickets all sold, merchandise and concession profits still rolling in.

I remember when I was mocked for wanting to hire temu general Patton but I was right. We would be bowling with this schedule with him as our coach already. He does way more with way less.
I remember a lot of the homer-bully posters mocking those of us calling Matt a bad hire as well. Haven't seen much of em tonight. Weird.

It should be very clear by now to any Husker fan with eyes, ears, and a brain, that Rhule is all sizzle and no steak. He talks a good game but he does not deliver. Every team we had lost to up to this point was at least a good team. But UCLA? And the sad fact is that his job is safe. No way he gets fired. He will get at least one more year. But at the very least Rhule can be forced to fire both of his coordinators. Yes, I said both. Tony White is an overrated hack. His defenses are feast or famine, hot or cold. And he routinely gets outcoached.

Fire Raiola too. Three years of shit play from our offensive line. And if Dylan goes with him so be it. There are other good QB’s out there who can get the job done.

Then next year, after yet another shit season, we can fire Rhule too. Then open the damn check book and pay some outrageous sum of money to get a proven winner in as coach.

For the record, the "we are becoming Minnesota" references aren't comparing team to team today. It's a generalization for a team that was once relevant a long long time ago but no longer is. Minnesota had conference and national championships way back when. But they are now generally irrelevant in college football, despite a nice little winning season and meaningless bowl here and there. Feels like the road we're headed down too.

Although I'm 100% sure I was never a "homer-bullying poster" toward you or anyone else, I will admit that I had much higher hopes for Rhule. MUCH higher hopes. Definitely thought it was a better hire than it's turning out to be.

Can't disagree with a single word of this post, Pennsy.
