If anyone caught last month's Real Sports on HBO, they had a story on Rod Carew getting a heart transplant from a former NFL TE Konrad Reuland. I thought that name sounded familiar. Does anyone else remember us recruiting him? He chose Notre Dame and then later transferred to Stanford. Sad story him dying so young but his family and the Carew's have become close because of it.
