that the plan is for KJJ to return to Lincoln in January.
I agree. I think we just might end up with a serviceable recruiting class. KJJ does not count toward this year's class, but it kind of feels like he doesGood deal. I think the way Moos handled this, and Riley for that matter, will keep most of our recruits comfortable with our school. Frost will likely bring our class quickly off the bottom of the BIG in the next 3 weeks

Now that he plans on coming again, this board has deemed him no longer fat and too slow. He must have done a lot to improve his game the last week or so.
I thought MR and KJ Sr had an agreement to hold a spot for Jr. I assume that was endorsed by admins. Does NU honor it regardless of Frost's interest.Do we know if Frost wants him?
AgreedWould be a pretty bad look if Frost turns the kid away.
Not "this board". A few posters. There's a clown at every party. Now that he plans on coming again, this board has deemed him no longer fat and too slow. He must have done a lot to improve his game the last week or so.
Dirty job but somebody has to do it. If they had me do it, they'd be short a couple dozen by the time I got them there. We're not at a point as a program where we can turn down a kid like KJJ if he wants to come to NU. IMO, he will be good for NU and NU will be good for him.Great, now we got a guy to carry the donuts for the team.
Exactly. What this fanbase needs is to put down out of state kids that want to come participate and try and bring the program back. We don't need them.Great, now we got a guy to carry the donuts for the team.
I’m ambivalent as to whether he comes here. FWIW guys he weighs 186 as of Wednesday.
Anything would be better than the Pelini "Poison the wells" exit, but Riley is a cut above when it comes to class. That's why so many more opportunities are going to open up for Riley.
I feel the same way. I'm not sure this is a fit made in heaven without the commitment we need our players to have going forward.I’m ambivalent as to whether he comes here. FWIW guys he weighs 186 as of Wednesday.
Or a great statement.Would be a pretty bad look if Frost turns the kid away.

No chance this happens. Whether KJJ fits his scheme or not, the backlash of a program turning down a kid where a promise was made to allow him to return is not worth it.I don't know that anyone would really fault Frost if he did say to KJJ, "maybe it would be better if you found a new home." It kind of seems like the factors that caused him to "take a little time to find himself" were primarily discipline issues. Not big ones, but self discipline issues. That may be a character flaw the Frost would want to try and weed out from the team.
He has the tools to be a very good collegiate receiver. Plus he will be a great recruiting asset for the West Coast recruits.

I also think he can be a good player.
That’s my point. Even if they people who made the promise aren’t there, they were representatives for the school at the time. You have to honor their promise even if they are gone on a matter like this. Otherwise the PR backlash is too negative. This coming from a PR guy.I don't think anyone who made that "promise" is still employed by the University of Nebraska, whether it was Riley or Eichorst. I could be wrong on that, since he did get caught smoking hippie lettuce in the dorms maybe there is some agreement with someone in the administration who doesn't deal with the football team.
I don't think it would happen either, but I really think there would be little to no backlash if it were to happen.

Oh joy. Listening KJ SR for 4 years. Nails on the chalk board. This won’t end well.that the plan is for KJJ to return to Lincoln in January.

I am 99 percent certain Tom Osborne would keep the kid and help him through football. Are you saying Frost would not do as his mentor did so many times?Or a great statement.
