A LOT of P-5 coaching openings last 24-48 hours. With prob a couple more to go. And not a single rumor of either of our last 2 coaches —one available immediately, one coaching in the MVC— for any of them.

Time to turn the corner!

Yes, but it is pretty telling that in the 14 years since he was fired from here no P5 team has come calling to take Solich away from Ohio. So I would agree with @Harry Caray that he is right where he should be coaching.

Our last 4 coaches are all available....Billy C is not that old, Solich would take a P5 job like Oregon State, Bo is in the prime of his career, and MR was reportedly a great hire by us 3 years ago. Two of those coaches won a ton of games as well...idk.

I think Frank would have received another Power 5 offer if he was ten years younger. He had no head coaching experience until NU and I suspect he is much better at it today.

Too bad he didn’t leave NU to get some head coaching experience and then return to take over from TO. He would have been more competent and would have had some of his own assistants to blend with any holdovers from TO.

I can't say for sure but it seems to me they kicked the tires (albeit very briefly) on Chip K.......he said TBNT.

Totally get that, but I tend to lean on the side of someone else's post a few days ago about Chip Kelly, Scott Frost and Nebraska:

Chip: *Calls Scott Frost*..."Hey Scott Nebraska is gauging interest in me, I will respect you if you want the job."
