Keyshawn Jr to announce...

I don't think there's much suspense on where he's going, we all know he's going to be a Huskers. It was only a matter of when will he make it official?

Holmes and Gebbia coming with. Would be huge to get all 3!!

Would be. I'm not familiar with Gebbia's visit history, but a highly ranked QB like him would typically commit early to a school. That bodes well in our favor. It would seem somewhat strange to publically round up the crew and then have just one guy commit.

I think Holmes is N. Gebbia is just so damn quiet. But it is well known him and KJJ are like an old married couple, they are extremely tight.

Be nice if they just put on a little 2017 kick off show.

Couldn't be more optimistic about NU's chances. That said, March is awwwwwfully early.

I'm not so much worried about Key. He seems to have indicated he's committing somewhere and shutting it down. Given his family history with Riley, I don't see them backtracking on their coach if we are indeed his choice.

The other 2 I think we would be in a year long dog fight for

In March and is visiting Nebraska again for the spring game. Hmmmm... GBR...CoolSmokinWinking
He has said previously his Top 5 include Nebraska, USC, Alabama, Ohio State and Clemson.

Nebraska fans might take it as a good sign that Keyshawn Sr., the recruit's well-known father, told HuskerOnline.com that the prospect plans to visit Lincoln yet again in March for the start of spring practices, along with quarterback Tristan Gebbia and five-star cornerback Darnay Holmes, who are also very much interested in Nebraska.

Sipple wrote about the Calabasas Crew last week, and in that column quoted Rivals analyst Adam Gorney on the close relationship Keyshawn Jr. and his father have with Mike Riley.

"That relationship is something that's very important to Johnson, and he doesn't take it for granted at all," Gorney said. "There's no guarantee that his kid will end up at Nebraska because of that. But it's definitely a chip in Nebraska's favor."

In a month, we'll see if it makes the difference.

KJJ will be very important for NU in more ways than just his freakish ability.

Will we be known as Calabassas East or will they be known as Nebraska West? Does anybody have a clue of the most number of kids from one high school committing to the same University?

Please tell me I'm looking too hard into this. I love that there is some real talent looking at Lincoln....really I am. But tucked way way back in the dark corner of my mind is the thought of too many coming from the same high school and especially the same year could have a "clique" mentality in gelling with the other members of the recruiting class and the team. Nothing would make me happier than to be over thinking this.

At least we all can agree on is Keshawn Johnson Jr cant be bought...the family already has the cash. My gut tells me KJJ and Holmes are in, Gebbia will start off a Husker but Ole Miss may keep things scary for us all recruiting season.

Holmes might be tougher to get. I've heard he really likes Stanford and is a 4.0 student.

I heard that Darney may be a Stanford lean, but KJJ is probably N don't know about Gebbia though like someone else said maybe Ol Miss.

Calabraska.
Gebbias put it up on twitter and took it down because of twitter people doing what they do.

Oh im sure, it probably kills a lot of people that the Huskers have a real good chance at landing all 3 of these guys and would develop a pipeline to that area.

I saw a scouting report video about him and they said Keyshawn already knows where he's going but is announcing it out loud in March.

FWIW he's visiting all of his Top 5 schools again before he decides, not just us. I like our chances, but never count out Urban and Saban.
Right now he is down on our list of who TOSU is targeting. Unless the coaches get a vibe on some of their other prospects of not wanting to join the 17 class At Ohio State, i would think USC will be where Jr. will land.

I'm not sure how much you've followed this recruitment process for KJJ, but so far, he has been extremely high on the huskers. He loves Mike Riley and seems like he's going to be a husker. We won't know for sure til next February, but I think he's a husker.

right, but he has visited a lot of places multi times and said the same thing about each school coaches. It's more of a feeling on the insiders on the Ohio State side.

I dont believe i heard KJJ visiting Clemson or any of the other teams 5 times and now going on 6 times. Nor have i heard KJJ push or help recruit USC, Clemson or any other school...im thinking this is just OSU HOPING we don't land a son of a NFL elite WR more then anything else. But you maybe right, hes visited few times else wheres but hasn't been to any of them 6 times nor helping them recruit. And coaching bond comes from his, dad, Keshawn Johnson Sr...hes very close with Riley and it has transfered to his son (again his going to visitbfor his 6th time or is it 7th now?) So i highly doubt KJ Sr is close to all these other teams like he is Riley. Again this is just OSU hoping we don't this kid more then anything...sorry its going to happen, all signs are there.

KJJ is clearly a locked-in implicit silent commit. His heart is committed to Nebraska, but he hasn't made his formal announcement yet, privately or publicly. He will probably be a locked-in silent commit come late February or early March. And then by the end of March he will be a locked-in commit, or a fully committed verbal commit. Then come next February he will be a signed, sealed, and delivered Nebraska Cornhusker. (All this assuming, of course, we don't completely tank next season, and he doesn't have a change of heart in interim.)

you don't need to get all worked up about it. I'm just telling you what the rumors are. As far as OSU worried about you landing him if funny. It's not like Urban is shaking about Jr. landing anywhere else. Don't forget OSU had his cousin there and he has been up there multiple times same as his father. But I know that he is on the list of wide outs Urban wants, but just not on the first tier on his wishlist. With a smaller class we will only take 3 wide outs this cycle

We've already landed Marquel Dismuke off of Keyshawn Johnson's Team19. I think these guys on Team19 are talking to each other and making plans, and in some cases the friendships count. Frankly, I would be surprised if we didn't get some more this year. Is that a absolute guarantee, well there are no guarantees.
