Just saying. Both KU and KSU have guys that know WTF they are doing.
and mullet looking like dogshit...againJust saying. Both KU and KSU have guys that know WTF they are doing.
Literally no one is talking about ShawAnd Shaw at Stanford? Man is he looking great today in the face of an absolute blowout. Just so much poise. I wonder how much it would take to get him to come here...
Was just watching them. Misdirection runs and play action. And about to be 6-3 with some decent wins at freaking Kansas. I like their coach a lot too. I feel like a few of those big 12 guys would be good fits here.
Notice how Minnesota kept running the same TE split run right at us? It worked. We had some nice under center runs that disappeared and seemed to work. of getting out coached and never really have any confidence in what they’re doing on offense. We all knew Minney was gonna win
We gotta find someone who is familiar with football in the Midwest and in the Big 10. I just think we're less likely to succeed with someone who has spent all or most of their time on the east or west coast. And Shaw at Stanford? I’m old school. I just don’t think Nebraska will ever find success being a modern offense. Ground and pound, no turnovers and a good D. The fat ass at IL turned them into a bowl team from a complete dumpster fire. Sad thing is they’re light years ahead of usYep. And while I think we need an experienced head coach, Jeff Grimes (OC at Baylor) is very intriguing. His offense would be perfect here.

They ran the ball really well when they needed to. Probably had something to do with the pathetic offense we displayed for 3 QsMinnesota averaged 2.8 ypc. PJ shit the bed, again, but we just refused to win.
But yes, I agree LL has done an impressive job at KU (and Buffalo and WWW).

There’s some good staffs out there. Go get them Trev. Another bad hire and we may be stuck on shit for another 10 years.Liberty is dominating Arkansas at Arkansas. Wow.
K Stank's defense didn't show up and they started to chuck the ball around down by two scores... we know how that ends. And in true Martinez fashion, theres the pick right before the half...
Chuck the ball around all you want... Just chuck it around with the QB who can chuck it around...K Stank's defense didn't show up and they started to chuck the ball around down by two scores... we know how that ends.
Yeah where tf was the other guy? Was he hurt or something?Chuck the ball around all you want... Just chuck it around with the QB who can chuck it around...
In this thread? Nope. But a few of the regs here literally have over the past few days. I know. I'd like to forget having read it as well. I think it gave me instant brain damage.Literally no one is talking about Shaw

You really have no idea what you are talking about, but I'll go ahead and respond.no we have to find someone who is familiar with winning.
do you think Ohio State approaches everything with the idea of “they have to really understand the geographic landscape if they wanna be here”?
this is a boomer take that needs to die asap

"We gotta find someone who is familiar with football" Just stop reading there and have a good laugh. Actually, the statement may be the most fundamentally sound of any on this board. Truth is, selecting a coach is a crapshoot. Frost was a great hire. It did not work out.We gotta find someone who is familiar with football in the Midwest and in the Big 10. I just think we're less likely to succeed with someone who has spent all or most of their time on the east or west coast.
Your reasoning is good enough. But these days coaches try to get into geographic areas where there are large populations of talented recruits. Never thought I would see a coach leave Notre Dame for a HC job in Louisiana. Four and five stars everywhere within two hours in the car. Of course it also is an advantage that you can get someone reading at a fourth grade level into LSU if he is a lock down defensive back - as we know from the North Carolina scandal. You really have no idea what you are talking about, but I'll go ahead and respond.
Find someone familiar with winning? Scott Frost was 13-0 and won a national championship as a college QB.
Ohio State? Ryan Day was a promotion from within. Urban Meyer was born in Ohio and started out at Bowling Green. Luke Fickell was an internal promotion and born in Ohio/played for the Buckeyes. Jim Tressell is also from Ohio and coached at Youngstown St. You have to go back to the mid-80's to find a head football coach Ohio State hired who didn't have Ohio connections.
There are legit reasons that geographical familiarity increases the likelihood of a coach being successful.
It's as realistic a possibility as anything else.Literally no one is talking about Shaw
Spencer Sanders was their starter and I believe he was injured at K-State last week so they played a Freshman QB.I like what Leipold has done at Kansas and they are once again playing well against a good team. But geez... what the hell happened to Okie State? Hammered by KSU last week and now by Kansas.
He would be better than Patterson by a mile…This is exactly what I've said, I would be happy with a Leipold hire.
