Don't we all. I think we are all searching for a reason, something, anything, to pinpoint this teams issues. If we can pin point the main problem then it can be fixed and we can maybe start resolving it.
I understand there are probably multiple issues. Just looking for everyone opinions

All of the above, really. You can't really put blame on one single issue.

All of the above? I think we have seen enough to know though this staff won't get it done. Unfortunately we have to watch them flounder the next few years.

I know people want to be able to put their finger on one thing and say that is what is wrong with this team. Unfortunately, there are lots of things wrong with this team.

on offense:
trying to turn a running team into a passing team, without the correct talent for that transition.
thats not to say untalented, just not the right talent.

on defense: lack of talent at certain positions and depth

Plenty of talent even with mental players and injury to beat Purdue. We have coaches that literally can't figure out a run game.

We've got major problems. But you can't fix anything till the players in the program get their heads straight.

Offensive realities: 1) best athletes/playmakers are at WR ... takes a consistent QB to make that work 2) OL doesn't have a first-team- all-conference-caliber on it, that I know of, let alone all-American
Defensive realities: 1) LB/DB - between inexperience and injuries...not good 2)DL - the only position with all-conference talent on the team

I didn't follow OSU and don't even know what Riley's strengths/weaknesses are as a coach. With the personnel he has + injuries, I find it difficult to define his 9-game tenure as a coach. The season has been terrible.I hate what has happened this year. Absolutely can't wait to be relevant again, as I hate that my sons haven't had the experience with Husker football that I did growing up. "Clearly" Riley's fault, as some claim...I don't know. Unless the expectation was that he should be able to take less talent, more injuries, and some reported cancerous attitudes and make us a winner...??? Hope we can finish strong, get to 5 wins and possibly sneak into a bowl game - end on some sort of positive. Recruiting is going to be (insert Trump voice) hUGE. hUGE!

All of these plus the fact that we gave up on physical football and nasty defenses back in the 90's.

there is NO passion on this team. there's no desire. this has been a common denominator for longer than just Riley. It's been a factor in every coaching staff since TO resigned.

we will never get back until we bring in a coach and staff who rebuild the program by instilling physical play and nasty D. You can still pass, but set up the pass by running.

Heart and determination can hide the lack of skill. And if you play as a group you become stronger then the individual talent.
