The conspiracy theory that everyone at OSU is happy Riley is gone is a lie. Many are worried Anderson might bolt for a better job after 2 or 3 years and many hoped Bray would stay and be promoted to DC (eventual golden boy HC).
There will be a Nebraska vs BYU watch party at some bar in Corvallis.
Riley will attend (has attended in the past) many academic meetings and lectures and will be involved with the university during the off season especially. (Eichorst and Harvey probably love that)

Everyone is cheering for Mike because they all think that with the right resources he can be a conference championship level coach. (Their words)
The husband told me flat out Riley will coach until he is 70, he has the body and mind of a 52 year old not a 62 year old. Sees Riley being able to be effective another 7 years at least.
The wife is the head of a department and she told me that the university used to take football money and give it to the various departments to help fund academics.....Riley has to love his private bank he has now.
