It seems like this is the first year in a great many that the Huskers are not actively trying to pull in at least one JUCO recruit.
I don't recall who it was exactly but he was a brother of JUCO DB that transferred to Nebraska who had a compelling write up about why the Huskers should pursue JUCO transfers.
Basically it came down to going after a small group of proven great athletes that were willing to be away from home. Because they had already left their home towns, they would be open to coming distances to play at Nebraska. He thought we could routinely get some of the best talent in the nation.
So now I look at the roster and I want Defensive Ends and Tight Ends for next fall. They need to be ready to contribute immediately.
Has this coaching staff put JUCO recruiting on hold this cycle because they are in on so many great recruits?
Is this an anomaly if it is the case and will JUCO recruiting be an arrow in their quiver in the future?
Or am I completely wrong and the staff is hot after some JUCO players this cycle? If so, who are the top few targets?
