I would be surprised if we pulled an NFL DC to take a pay cut to be our DC, I also don't think it's a great idea to bring in an NFL position coach with no DC experience. IMO our best bet is to get a young, energetic college coach with DC experience, who knows how to recruit and inspire his troops

Pelini was an NFL LB coach before coming to Nebraska as DC.

He wasn't the best DC right away (see KSU game his first year) so maybe I should shut up

On a more serious note, with the B1G revenue doubling for us this year, go out and find the best 10 DCs in the college game and pay one more to come here.
