Jermarcus (Yoshi) Hardrick

Funny about the parking meters and crosswalk buttons. I always think of kids from Nebraska and Iowa being from small towns, but the rural South has just as many places like that.

His story reminds me of a guy I worked with a few years ago. He was a kid from Tuscaloosa, AL. Absolutely enormous. Was lightly recruited out of high school, and then got an offer at the last minute from Texas A&M. Chose to go to a smaller college (Jackson State) in Mississippi because he just wanted to play football. Figured he'd ride the bench for 3-4 years at A&M and maybe play a bit at the end. Just about as gentile of a guy as you'd ever meet.

Best of luck in life to Yoshi, and all the former Husker athletes out living normal lives, just trying to support their families.

He personifies what Nebraska is all about, and what a player/student can do with oppotunity and hard work.

Don't they all?
