stated he will never let anyone he loves attend a game in philly again. said he heard far too many horror stories from people he knew that attended the game, including family and relatives. wife had beer poured on her, they were spit on. the worst may be about his grandfather who just went through back surgery and was wearing a back brace and a philly "fan" jumped on his back and crumpled him to the ground.

i have listened to a few people on the radio that stated they attended the game and it was not a very pleasant experience. items thrown at them, cursed at, and threats. i listened to one guy state there was a husband, wife, and little daughter that were walking to the game and the little girl was hit in the head with a beer bottle. all this over a freakin' football game.

Sounds like Missouri

So, what you're saying, is that Penn State fans are the college version of Philadelphia Eagles fans? They still have nothing on British soccer hooligans.
The stories I've heard about Philly fans come close to soccer hooliganism.

Also seen several videos and heard stories about the crappy experiences. I love a good passionate fan base but for the life of me, I can’t figure out why people get so amped up that they literally HATE opposing fans and want to do harm to them.

It's bad all over. I literally can't take my sons to a Nebraska game any more because of all the 70 year old women screaming, "GIVE IT TO THE EFFING FULLBACK!"

My sons were born in the Callahan era, and I just can't bear to look them in the eye when they ask, "Dad, what's a fullback?"

Went to PSU this past fall and was treated great by PSU fans!

Guarantee you they weren't Trump supporters. Philly is has the worst fanbase, followed by Ped State.

I think there is bad behavior at many NFL stadiums - Oakland and Philly having by far the worst reputations. Baltimore is also supposed to be bad. Wearing anything but Raider gear into the Black Hole is risking your life (I suspect that will improve in Vegas). Philly has been known as not much better. Mizzou and Colorado were the worst in the Big 8/12 by far - but I would attend a game there now. I have heard bad stories about PSU - but those seem to be isolated incidents mostly.

It sounds like Minneapolis is preparing for Philly fan to try and burn the town down - don't be surprised if cops are pretty unforgiving to anyone wearing green.

Raider fan might as well be living out an episode of WWE in their minds. Philly fans living out the life of a drunk. Neither see any value towards treating an opposing fan politely. It's been this way for a while and I wouldn't expect much change (both could care less about being perceived in this manner).

From what I've heard a few times in the last week, sounds like the people of Minneapolis are planning for payback against Eagle fans (won't provide public transport, allow reservations, etc..). Personally I don't really care about any of this. Not a fan of either team and don't live there.

Huh? What the hell do bad fans in Philly have to do with Trump or politics in general?

Reminds me of Walter Sobchak trying to make everything about Vietnam.

Holy shit how true. My daughter went to grad school at the University of Newcastle in the U.K. I visited her there on a night when Newcastle was playing their rival (can't remember who) in futball. We are at a pub called "The Crow's Nest" watching it on TV. When Newcastle lost the fans there literally tore that pub apart. They broke every chair and table, threw beer glasses by the scores against the walls. They smashed the mirror behind the bar, turned over the bar counter and destroyed all the booze bottles. They broke out all the windows and then went outside and set cars on fire.

My daughter and I cowered in a back stall. Fortunately they left us alone. Scary shit. So yeah... my guess is Philly fans have a long way to go... lol

Hopefully they liberally apply stun guns and rubber bullets to the perps. I expect though that any Philly fan able to pony up enough money for a Super Bowl ticket will probably behave. The city of Philadelphia has more to worry about than the Twin Cities do.

I don't think politics has anything to do with it - more about booze and crowd control control. And "history"...Philly fan expects to be able to be a boozing ahole....which leads to lots of bad decisions.
Minnesota cops will give them an attitude adjustment. As liberal as the politics are in urban Minnesota, the cops seem to have all come from rural gun toting areas of the state.....I would not screw with a cop in Minneapolis. No way no how.

Being a Fan and Fanatical Fan is one thing, actions of this nature by a Fan Base is far beyond that.

This isn't Funny or Cute, it's Criminal. The Eagles Franchise and the NFL bare responsibility to clean this up, in Philly and throughout the league. Their knowingly level of inaction makes them both complicit and liable in this matter.

Or when a blue hair tugs on their coat and tells them to sit down?!?! Oh the horror. *Shudders*
