AgreedI wonder what more he will know by the 8th. More phone conversations? I no longer think it will be Nebraska although that once seemed a sure thing. Sims commitment changed all that.
I think a TE will be brought in via portal sooner or later.I hope we do have some additional commitments coming soon. Bring it on! But after all of the recruiting dust settles the next big question is who we are going to send packing in order to get down to the 85 scholarship limit.
I think once Sims signed with Nebraska it all but closed the door on Hornsby being a QB at Nebraska. Now maybe Rhule can convince Hornsby his best option is playing a different position at Nebraska but I think the kid wants to play QB. If you haven't watched Sims video I suggest you do, he is quite impressive.
The joke is that the rules have been obsolete for the past 20 years...85 scholarship limit. Does it really matter anymore? Any booster can just pay the student through school via NIL. To be honest, all of the NCAA rules are a joke now. They can't do a damn thing about anything anymore.

Add the other guard transfer from Florida that just entered as well..Not worried about Hornsby.. give Nebraska the guard and tackle from the Gators and the defensive lineman from A&M!
The "85" topic is dead.I also hope we have a lot of dead weight hit the portal soon....otherwise it will be interesting to see how we get the roster down to 85 by next fall.
Yeah, we've been dumb enough to still follow them. The joke is that the rules have been obsolete for the past 20 years...
Seems like Florida's entire roster is in the portal.Add the other guard transfer from Florida that just entered as well..

White - 6'5" 390? Holy cow.Seems like Florida's entire roster is in the portal.
There’s plenty of candidates for this, but just hope it’s all the right ones and no more of the wrong ones.I hope we do have some additional commitments coming soon. Bring it on! But after all of the recruiting dust settles the next big question is who we are going to send packing in order to get down to the 85 scholarship limit.
I was not impressed at all by his stats, but I did watch the film, now understanding why they like him.I think once Sims signed with Nebraska it all but closed the door on Hornsby being a QB at Nebraska. He’s Slimmed down to 340..😂. Watch some of his film. Crazy how mobile he is for a mammoth his size.White - 6'5" 390? Holy cow.
And the NCAA did it to themselves.85 scholarship limit. That's funny. Does it really matter anymore? Any booster can just pay the student through school via NIL. To be honest, all of the NCAA rules are a joke now. They can't do a damn thing about anything anymore.
Ben Watson on the twitter portion is one of my son's best friends. Super cool person.
It's going to be interesting what happens with the QB position going forward, you have to believe it's going to thin out a bit going forward. Regarding Sims, I like his arm and I love his running ability and he's built pretty solid which you need to be in the BIG. I see Sims playing some this coming year and Thompson is going to have some competition for the starting job, I believe Sims is that smart and physically talented enough to play in 2023.I was not impressed at all by his stats, but I did watch the film, now understanding why they like him.
Definitely has all the tools, and he plays smooth and seemingly composed.
But those were the highlights, and he’ll need to grow up fast to reduce the INTs. His comp% is also bad, but there’s a lot that goes into that number.
Either way, hopefully he’ll peak upon arrival.
I think we're done at QB. The focus should be on getting a top young QB in 2024.I wonder what more he will know by the 8th. More phone conversations? I no longer think it will be Nebraska although that once seemed a sure thing. Sims commitment changed all that.
I think I know who you are referring to as far as 2024 goes and I agree 100%.I think we're done at QB. The focus should be on getting a top young QB in 2024.
Yep!This one smells like UNLV as they probably guaranteed him the QB job.
